Although I don't posi often, I am here almost daily checking for any news on Jaren's case. Unfortunately I have been disappointed so far with the seemingly lack of progress. Not a day goes by that I don't think of Jaren & pray for a break in her case. There are a few things I keep wondering & maybe someone here can shed some light. It was said they were asking businesses along the coast to review film from security cameras for any sightings. I was wondering if the traffic cams installed on the traffic lights along Hwy. 90 from the Bay to at least Biloxi record or if they are just monitored? If there was video from them did they thoroughly review it for MAS' car? Also I read somewhere that although MAS denied knowing TS was a RSO, she did admit to knowing he had charges in N.C. If this is so then why couldn't they have at least charged her with aiding & abetting? And since they both knew they were being sought for questioning in the disappeance/murder of Jaren & did not come forth & tried to flee law enforcement couldn't that be considered interfering with a murder investigation or obstruction of justice? It just seems to me that there should be some charge related to this case that they could file & make stick while they await concrete evidence. I read on Jaren's site where someone actually ran into MAS wandering the quarter on Sunday. This really pissed me off! I know it has been suggested that perhaps others were involved & even that MAS & TS may be keeping quiet out of fear for their own safety. IMOO I don"t buy that. I think they were the only ones involved. I think they also believe as long as they keep quiet & don't sell each other out that they will get away with this. I hope & pray that this isn't the case! Justice must be served!!! JUSTICE 4 JAREN!! Sorry for the long post. I will try not to wait so long next time lol.

You do make some valid points. However, while they were trying to flee the Law Enforcement - they were considered "persons of interests" they were not "suspects" then. I personally don't think MAS is concerned, because she feels like she and TS got away with this. The person who was in the French Quarter was brave to speak out to MAS, but I do not encourage this! You could be arrested for harassing her and MAS is not worth going to jail over. My prediction is that some people inside "Team Margaret" are going find out some information and turn on her. It's a matter of time till she sings like a "canary" and then she will get herself into even more trouble. I hope that this happens soon.....

It's a complete mystery to me how people who commit crimes of this magnitude live with themselves.
I hope there's a break or conclusion in Jaren's case soon.
Glad to see bessie made it back. Hope all is well with LA peeps after Isaac.

No, it was never reported of what exactly was sent to the FBI Lab in Virginia. Nor should we know, since this is an active investigation. I feel confident that something will be found.

Let's all say a special prayer for Jaren today. She was last seen alive 3 months ago. The date was June 6th at around 2:05am.

Agreed we shouldn't know, but wasn't sure if we did know. I didn't remember it either so thanks for confirming.

Hoping that whatever evidence LE may have needed from beaches and piers in Bay St. Louis to Long Beach was thoroughly collected. According to the article below in the Sea Coast Echo, the piers many of us linked to possible disposal sites have been wiped out by Isaac.

Thanks to fellow websleuthers who sent positive thoughts and support post-Isaac. We certainly weren't expecting as much from just a "tropical storm" that barely turned Cat 1. It was definitely a wake-up call for many of us.

Seems like MAS is able to walk without fear in the Quarter because she probably knows one of the killers is behind bars and the other one can probably be found in the mirror. If she wasn't involved, then she should be in fear of the "real killer". But she knows she is in no danger from the people who killed Jaren.
But it seems awfully ballsy to go to the Quarter where Jaren was a loved and poplular person. No doubt MAS was looking for attention, hoping people would notice her.

She reminds me that teenage girl who secretly killed a friend that she was jealous of and then moved in with her deceased friend's mom and tried to assume the life of the girl she killed. Luckily she was ratted out on and arrested but it took a while for cops to figure it out.

So here is MAS strolling the quarter, still desperately seeking attention. I imagine her facebook page disappeared on the advice of her lawyer but she no doubt has another one.

I know we are all ready for justice for Jaren to happen and are tired of waiting and wondering why it is taking so long. But Just remember that just 2 days ago we saw the long awaited arrest of jerice hunter who killed her beautiful 5 year old daughter Jhessye and we say Drew Peterson convicted of killing one of his wives. Both of those case took a long time to get justice and we were in despair wondering if it would ever happen but it finally did. In one amazing day we saw TWO great things happen. It gave me great hope for Jaren's case as well.

Oh I forgot to say I don't think MAS would be wandering the streets if she was in fear of someone. Perhaps what she doesn't realize is that maybe she should be very, very afraid to wander the streets! Maybe she's looking for a fix & if she's successful in her search then maybe she'll start running her mouth w/out even realizing it. She gas no right to be roaming around scott free after what she did. Please let justice be served soon!

I knew it was only a matter of time before she would return to her old haunts. I wonder if the person who spotted her had a chance to accost her or whether the general public is recognizing her. If I were suspected of such a heinous crime and I couldn't "remember" anything about the last time I saw the victim, I would it feel it incumbent on myself to go get hypnosis, which has some benefit in retrieving memories. Also I find it interesting that MAS went into one bar to find a treat for her boyfriend and solicit someone to make money using their body, and in the next bar was just looking for someone to babysit her dog (the reason she gave more recently). I guess the next bar she went to she was in there raising money to save the whales.

I'm surprised she isn't in fear of the public at large. I have really tried to put myself in her shoes to figure out what I'd do but I just can't even relate. I just don't think I'd be walking around in public like nothing ever happened.

I don't think the typical person can put themselves in her shoes.....she's an odd one that is for sure. :twocents:

Ain't that the truth!

When assessing a storm's potential danger, much attention is given to wind speed and pressure. We tend to underestimate duration as a risk factor.

My wake up call came in the wee hours of Wednesday morning when Isaac went stationary near the mouth of the river and then backed up into the Gulf. The images showed that he had broken off from the wide outer feed bands and he was starting to tighten up. About 4-5 am, just when I was starting to seriously question our decision to stay... BOOM! The transformer two doors down exploded, lighting up the entire house in the blue and green light of the arcs created by electricity discharging into the air. It was like something out of Close Encounters. And loud! ZZZZzzzttttt...ZZZZZZzzzzttt.

From the doorway, we saw flames shooting out from the top of the pole and then my neighbor's tree. That's when I called 911 and was screamed at by the dispatcher because she couldn't hear me. Like it was my fault the power lines were spewing thousands of volts of electricity. The arcing finally stopped, but not the fire. I called 911 a second time, and the dispatcher was nicer.

"We'll send someone out. Do you want the firemen to let you know when they arrive?" Huh?? :waitasec:

"No, lady. I just want them to put out the fire." LOL

I hung up, and heard my sister on the phone with Entergy.

"She wants to know your account number." :thud:

In the meantime, all of the neighbors were watching from their porches, and I knew they were calling, too.

We never did see a fire engine, police car or utility truck. The rain eventually put out the flames, and the power line lay in the street until some time on Thursday. Monday night, air conditioning returned.

The Garfield Ladner Pier suffered heavy damage, but its super-structure remained intact.
Light poles and guard rails were bent in the front of the pier and the concrete driveway was also damaged in several places, officials said.

Hundreds of ?????? & no answers.....no pressers...not even a bite on a fish line...
It's like waking up to mute land...

Best news we've heard in a long time! " Speaks and Sanchez are still "our primary suspects," Grannan said. The FBI crime lab last week said it would place a higher priority on processing items gathered as possible evidence in Lockhart's killing," he said. via Sun Herald. JUSTICE WILL BE JAREN'S!!!
