I'm glad you brought this up as I have been thinking about "Team MAS" lately myself.

First, I would like to mention that EDUCATORS and HEALTHCARE providers have a "Duty to Report" suspected or actual abuse, neglect etc. I wonder if any member of the "team" feels the same obligation beyond the work place?

Secondly, any member of the "Team" can call and report a suspected crime. That's why they call it an "ANONYMOUS" TIP. If it's a reward your looking for maybe that could be arranged with CrimeStoppers.

Third, back in July when leaving the court room, Papa Sanchez commented that "he thinks the guilty person is still out there" Well, I am still waiting for further explaination to convince me otherwise.......................

Scary to think MAS may still have a current CNA certification. Lucky for the public they do background checks in addition to the certification check.

Thanks 2LuckyDogs! This is a great post. I have said this before, I don't think someone in "Team MAS" is going to remain completely loyal to her. But, if not..... If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas!

I don't think I would want to be friends with someone who is a compulsive liar like MAS or TS. Remember "Team MAS" - that reward money sure can come in handy! All you have to do is call CrimeStoppers. It is the right thing to do.....please make that call. It's not worth it to protect her.

Where was the photo of TS on the wwl link taken on 7/7/11? Was that just prior to his relocating to nola? I think the Sun Herald article stated that it is not known how long he had been in the New Orleans area prior to his association with MAS. Any guesses?

I found this post in thread 5. Somewhere there is a link to TS's prison record. He was released in 2010 I believe. Since then, only probation and RSO laws like notifying for change of address, annual check in, etc. Of course, he stopped complying again (as was the case the first time when they found him in San Diego).
The July 2011 picture may have been taken when he checked into the system according to RSO laws but then left NC shortly afterward and headed to NO? For all we know, he could have returned to NC in July 2011 to check in and then left again.

Also there was a report that he somehow eluded police in PA but we never got the date or details regarding that report - had he been in custody in PA and managed to escape?

Here are the mugshots from 2009. He might have been released from prison in 2009, not 2010. That's why I'm searching for his prison record.

He got out of prison January 28, 2010 and then was sentenced to 36 mos. special probation.

They are similar in the ties to LA, couple committed the crime together (at least to some degree both were involved), the dismemberment (sighhhh). Some things are just so hard to type. I have no theory to connect them, nor do I believe they are connected just similar and tragic. However, maybe something in the Lee story will make a clue in JL's case stick out!somehow someway? hopefully, maybe.... lease:

I don't know if he/she was suggesting that the cases are related. I thought he/she was more or less saying maybe there is something we can learn from these other cases that can be applied to Jaren's case. Sorry for answering for someone else, but just thought I'd throw my interpretation out there.

I passed by the Kenner house where MAS an TS lived when Jaren went missing. I had previously reported that someone had thrown some items out of the house while MAS was still in jail. I presume that was her uncles who own the house.
So I passed there again today and it simply looks abandoned and run down, not that it really ever looked homey and cared for when she did live there. There were no cars in the drive, no garbage cans out (although trash pickup was today).

Since MAS was recently seen in the French Quarter, I wondered if she was staying at the Kenner house but it doesn't appear so. She has been on her FB account but hasn't posted anything relevant although she still lists herself as married.

I agree with you. Knowledge is valuable because the more you know, the more adept you are at recognizing the similarities and/or the differences. Either way, it brings you closer to the truth.

I am sorry to be so sensitive about this case. I’m glad to see that DTL was brought to justice. This was a hard case to figure out, until a Zachary, LA cop figured it out. It was amazing that he eluded the police as long as he did. He definitely terrified the community around here.

I think if you are looking for a case that is similar, please look into the Charles Atwood murders too.

I want to explore this memory loss claim a little. Do we know what she has claimed to have eaten that night?
Did she have any other symptoms?
Did she seek treatment?
If no, why not?

So far the only thing I see that can cause sudden short term memory loss is: Atlantic Mussel Food Poisoning

Atlantic mussel food poisoning is of sudden short-term memory loss. According to the Wrong Diagnosis website, a person can develop sudden memory problems induced by food poisoning after eating this type of mussel. However, TS was working next door from Temptations at Stiletto's Cabaret. Surely he knew Jaren. That's probably why she was chosen, because they could easily approach her. Jaren probably thought that she could trust TS and MAS. It turns out that she was wrong!

Side note - In the Charles Atwood murders, Atwood and his girlfriend were looking for girls in bars & clubs to "party" with. The outcome was very grim for their victims.

He was from Metairie, LA. It's very hard to find information about the Atwood Murders, because it happened in 2001-02.
