Authorities with the Port Allen Police Department are currently searching for a missing 31-year-old man.

According to authorities, Jeremy Lindig was last seen October 19 or 20 on Court Street in his gray 2012 Nissan Sentra. Lindig was first reported missing on Oct. 22 when his family noticed he had missed work and an important family event.

He is described as a white male around 5'10 and 175 lbs. He has brown hair. Authorities said Lindig's car and cellphone were both found at his home on Oct. 21, and he may be on foot.

[h=3]Body found in Mississippi River believed to be that of missing Port Allen man[/h]

PORT ALLEN, LA (WAFB) - A body was found in the Mississippi River Tuesday evening, and officials believe it may be that of a missing Port Allen man.

West Baton Rouge Parish officials say the ID of Jeremy Lindig was found in the pants pocket of the body. The official identity will need to come from the coroner's office however.
