Found Deceased LA - Jessica Easterly Durning, 43, New Orleans, 14 Aug 2019

Just too, too sad.
Well, at least it will make it easier for a second autopsy since her body has not been buried yet. Do we know if the family has requested an independent or a second forensic autopsy? There shouldn't be any reason why it can't be done since both the cause and manner of death were undetermined.

What about the first doctor who conducted the autopsy? Did anyone look into his or her experience or credentials? If her family is not satisfied with the results what needs to be done to request another one?

There are so many cases where a different pathologist found things that were overlooked the first time.

When you say only 4 of the 9 made 'public', is that just like to general public? Do family get to see all 9? Was there more in the 5 undisclosed that would shed a lot more light on her death that can't be revealed?
When I say 4 pages made public, I mean those 4 pages are given to media so they have something to report. only immediate family sees the whole autopsy report. I did reveal she had a broken rib and a broken C4 vertebrae because I thought it was important for everyone to know what other injuries Jessica suffered. Unfortunately we are not her next of kin {her husband is} and he decides EVERYTHING. I have even offered him money for the rights to Jessica but have not gotten a response back. Instead he likes to play his game of "I'm in control" so my sister lays in a morgue over a year later!!

Update!!
Crime scene investigators were called to Jessica's house. They took samples of a futon that was outside for trash pick up. Waiting on results.

That's great news! Maybe they will find evidence that will allow them to investigate the case as a homicide. Then her husband will have no say in whether or not a second autopsy will be done. Imo

Hmm, interesting.

Who called them to house and why?

Why drag the things outside?

The VI's post elsewhere is more enlightening: NOPD called to house. Turned away. Then shortly after furniture from bedroom dragged outside. Then CSI turned up.

Maybe the complaint made to the PIB is forcing NOPD to investigate. Really jacked up that it took so long to take some action, but at least something is happening now.

So do I understand this correctly? NOPD door knocked, were refused entry. They came back later with a warrant?

Quoting from the VI's narrative. Both named on photo link are VI's here, so I believe FB is then okay?

Thank you!! I have to assume they had a warrant in hand if they are collecting evidence for forensic testing. The questioning must have made someone nervous, dumb move :)

I could be wrong but I don’t think you need a warrant for stuff thrown in trash.

A warrant safe guards the evidence can't be ruled inadmissible at trial, I sure hope they had one.

I don't think they do either. However, if they find evidence from whatever they took from the curb that is enough to show probable cause, they may be able to obtain a warrant to search the house.

no warrant needed when it's at the curb for trash pick up.

we are still waiting on forensics to come back for the futon and headboard that was in Jessica's room thrown on the curb for trash pick up. We are hoping it will come back by the end of the year. For those of you still following and are concerned of the injustice in Jessica's case please email Capt. Lubrano. I have started an email campaign in hopes that with all the emails coming in he will no longer be able to ignore our pleas and do something! Thank you
