The New Orleans Police Department is asking for help locating 15-year-old Justin Martinez who was reported missing Sunday.

According to investigators, Martinez was last seen by family members leaving his home in the 7700 block of Shubert Street on Feb. 18 and has not returned home.

Anyone with information that can help locate Martinez should contact the New Orleans Police Department at 504-821-2222 or Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.

I wonder if he took a phone or wallet with him. Did he say he was going somewhere and not show up or do LE think he's a runaway? NOLA has a lot of people missing this year.

Random crime is so bad down there right now. I drove downtown today to drop my mom off for a cruise, and I bolted home because I feel so uncomfortable being alone there now. I hate it, because I lived there for 10 years, and have visited since I was a little girl, but there's too much dangerous stuff happening on the daily. I didn't even stay and enjoy a Mardi Gras parade or 2. (Perhaps being a Websleuth's member has made me hyper aware aka paranoid. ). Imo.

I hope Justin finds his way home.
