Has anyone done the math on Mickey's estimated average travel speed yet?
From camera 1 and camera 2 (1:47 am and 1:48 am) we should be able to figure out her speed by the distance between the two and know that she traveled it in approx. 1 minute. Then by knowing her average speed, we can figure out how long it would have taken her to reach the next camera where the car was caught.

Also, if she was not caught on that camera at the point where the car was on St. Landry, The only possible street she could've turned onto to not be caught on film is Brashear. I can see this as a possibility because its a nice little neighborhood with nice sidewalks as opposed to the ****ed up sidewalks on that portion of St. Landry.

On JVM they are discussing possible links to all the petite blonds. Bill Warner is on the show and says perp is looking for a specific type.
Believes they are connected.
We should thank JVM for adding a little bit of comic relief to her show and our day. I noticed the analyst she had on agreed with his rough outline, but I thought I heard him knock on wood there. Just one time, I'd love for him to show one small detail that could show two of these blonde haired missing woman cases are connected, much less trying to combine them all.

  • #203
If these cases are connected I'll eat the cap I wear all the time, and the accumulated dirt thereupon does not make it an appetizing cuisine.

Seriously lmaoooo..... anyway on to this

A busted rear rim, its tire dislodged, as well hand grips that were separated from the handle bar is the latest news in the Mickey Shunick case since her black Schwinn bicycle was found submerged in the Atchafalaya Basin Sunday morning by fishermen near the Whiskey Bay exit on Interstate 10.

Can you picture this, Mickey is riding along, gets hit from behind, she has a death grip on those handlebars and dislodge, she goes flying. I can, I can see it happening.

Don't forget to eat or you will be Brain Fried.

I always forget to eat after concentrating on my jobs all day -hence the 10:30pm trips to Albertson's!

I think I forgot to eat again today.... hmmm.......mmm.....yes, I forgot to eat again. Ate last night.

Hey Chicken, Can you please give me the link one more time to your most updated flyer....TIA

HERE is the link to the most recent flyer I made.

After that press conference, basically telling the public it's their job to find the car, it's fair game.

Feel free to print it out and distribute it far and wide.

We only know about them because they are little blonds, IMO...must be thousands of missing women...

I agree. I don't think they're connected but creepy nonetheless. Besides the looks, there is nothing that really connects them. In Lauren's case, there was the white truck but that was ruled out in her case so.......

In Holly's case, well, we won't go there. We don't even know if a vehicle was involved.

In Kelli's case, a RSO who gave her lift from the bar may be involved (??)

What would really tick me off is to start getting pulled over because the police are asking the public to look for a car but won't provide the correct description!:banghead:

I suggest you pay a visit to LE and speak directly with someone about your concern. Take your flyer and email summary with you and insist on speaking to anyone who will listen. You might even see if you could file sone kind of report?

  • #209
It would be great if they would change the description soon after sharing the information from your detailed email. I wouldn't be surprised if the info hasn't been shared with the lead investigators since you just sent it this morning. It wouldn't surprise me if the officer didn't have your information at the press conference.
One thing he said early in the presser (that wasn't shown on the video I transcribed) was that they needed people to be very detailed in their vehicle sighting descriptions so they could weed through them faster, since they had thousands of tips. I'm sure they appreciated your NINE detailed points of information. Maybe they will be out there interviewing this guy tonight if they run your information through DMV since the car is so rare. Seems like they could look up vehicles based on make/model. I'm still giving Lafayette LE the benefit of the doubt. jmo

I gave them the info by phone last night. They've had it since then. Actually called twice.

Agreed. And if she thought she was being followed she might have chosen to cut down Brashear knowing there were traffic barriers just down the block (south).

My car is such a bust right now because most folks don't know an old Lincoln from an old Caddy - and they all think they're looking for a Caddy==== despite what the cops say, a lot of people around town already think it's a Caddy from the photos, and the cops have done NOTHING to correct the error.

To compound my problem, it looks beat-up and "sketchy" - AND has rust where the right-rear pillar meets the fender, and some old Bondo-type bodywork (UNDER the paint, though) it starting to pop free.

At least the car is all one color, and no actual dents... just a rust repair by the previous owner going bad.

But that won't stop people from calling it in, I'm sure.

BULLETIN, fellow citizens, a Lincoln is a FORD product, not a GM product!

Chicken-

For clarification, what kind of car do you think it is? My husband works with cars and I am asking his opinion on what he thinks it is.

He believes its a GM vehicle. He says the hood doesn't doesn't seem long enough to be an FLM.

Really? I can't unless she knew she was going to get hit then I would say she was holding on to those handgrips with dear life but if it was unexpected? I don't see it, imo

Which leads to the possibility she knew she was being followed and was holding on and riding as fast as she could. :(

Good thinking!

Check the poster I just posted-- it's all there for him.

(Sorry, fingers & wrists wearing out - I have carpal tunnel syndrome)

Right, and I was just back there. She could've easily passed through the traffic barriers and cut through those neighborhoods to get to Johnston St.

I believe press is just making this "connection" up. Like you said, they found the white truck and driver in Lauren's case and ruled it out.

If anyone needs to find it again and can't find charminglane's post here (or chicken fried's, just below it), I've also posted it in MSM links/Timeline, so it's there, too.

Hey, can you please fix that? That was the wrong link charminglane posted.

The correct POSTER link is HERE

Darn, I wish I could take that first version back :banghead:

You should also put on the one that Chicken posted, its much bigger without the black filler background, comes out much better on facebook to be honest. I posted both on facebook asking people to share and crosspost....

I think she knew that she was being followed and that's the reason she went the way she did. If you look back a few pages, can't remember how many now, one of our posters went out and actually took the same routes, you'll see what I mean. Let me see if I'm able to find those for you.
