I have a question and I think its important.........if by any chance someone did hit Mickey on her bike hard enough for her to fall hard enough to be unconscious or possibly internal head injury which later rendered her unconscious. If they brought her to a hospital near or far away is it apossible that medical privacy and confidentiality laws could prevent the doctors nurses etc from saying anything due to the fact that she is an adult?

No, that would not be the case. The hospital would do everything they could to notify next of kin. On the other hand, if Mickey were conscious and she requested no one be notified, her care would be strictly confidential.

I stand by my ID. They must not think it's important enough to ID it, yet he said it's the public's job to find the car.

It's a 1977-'84 Olds 98.

Looks like THIS

Not being a policeman, with all due respect, and though they're overwhelmed with tips, I think that's really sloppy police work, considering they're telling the public to look for three vehicles. It's equivalent to telling them it's a 2000s GM truck.

Sorry to any LE reading.

Your flyer is all over fb. Great job chicken!

Ingra and Becky, I would encourage you both to post your recent additions (Ingra's transcript and Becky's video) to Mickey's MSM/Timeline/No Discussion thread in the stickies above. Wfgodot provided a link in post 71 on this thread. Thank you for your efforts to help Mickey!
Btw, an easy way to do this is to click on the post number at upper right of the post, for the one you want to take over to MSM links/Timeline. Copy and paste that URL, as well as a description of what it contains - doesn't have to be long, just enough to let reader know what they'll be clicking on.

I still think they would have to notify LE. Tons of money being spent to find her, dangerous searching, etc...JMO

LE would not have to say where she is, but would advise public she had been located.

Ailina,

What he's saying is it's a GM product. i.e. Buick, Olds, Chevy, Cadillac.
How on earth can't they narrow it down better? It's an Olds, and I'm not the only one here saying that!

And it darn sure isn't the '90s, because Caddy was the only one making those land yachts then, and it ain't a Caddy....

That is really frustrating me.

It's funny, I was just having this discussion. If the perp has been arrested before yes, by law, they are required to submit DNA. Hopefully they have a POI in mind and do not need to fall back on this.

They only take DNA for felonies. But I imagine anyone who would do something like this or have previous records there would be a felony on there somewhere

Does anyone from the area know if the abandoned hospital and its parking lot were searched? And I mean every inch of the abandoned hospital.

Then someone must have put it there. I don't have Facebook and don't know how to work it!

I did send the pic to www.findmickeyshunick at yahoo.com. Maybe a volunteer put it up?

Either way I'm glad. I'd like the detective to call me and debate him point by point, so they can tell the public what car to look for. I gave him NINE points on which the Olds is a perfect match.

It was me...sorry - I linked a humongous picture. I think I fixed it. If not, let me know.

Thanks Cajuntattooer for letting me know where it was.

im coming from the last thread where i couldnt quote a post because the damn things are closed every 22 pages...

brettly's Da Kine hat does NOT mean he is a smoker. Da Kine is a surf/ skate brand in hawaii. they make clothing and backpacks and all sorts of things.

With all the new information released in the past 2 hours or so, i think we will find out what happened to mickey very soon. With a post from the FB page asking for volunteer searchers 8 hours ago then Paul Mouton saying 2 hours ago that the volunteer search effort would be indefinitely suspended.. things just dont seem good.

what i have gathered so far is that her rear rim was bent (as if someone clipped her from behind). Also, that LE has found other items, but will not release the info. It seemed odd to me last night when the search at whiskey bay ended abruptly. That causes me to believe that LE may have found very important things, (it hurts me so much to type it...) maybe even mickey herself. The family would need some time for privacy, and to identify and items LE found.

I want them to get close for her family's sake so that all this can be over... they seem like good people (we have mutual friends) and deserve to have her home safe.

Good post.

I think they would've mentioned finding a body, though, even without determination on who is was.

But I do think they found other items. Maybe items of clothing, etc. Something leading them to believe she really is not alive anymore.

I just really think they would've mentioned if there was a body if there had been one.

Yes, some who have searched have said they searched the hospital and the parking garages thoroughly.

Can you tell me what "all over Facebook" means? I honestly have no idea what that means. Does that mean that certain people are getting it or what?

So the handgrips weren't attached to the handlebars when the bike was found. Very odd.

I don't think that was confirmed, was it? The video was so so bad though and I didn't see a full replay. When I first watched the (really crappy) video I didn't get the impression they weren't ON the bike but I could be wrong.

Chicken Fried,

Have you sent a flier to The Advertiser? Or at least alerted them to the fact that LE is not that specific?

I am still wondering about FEMA trailers in the area that should be searched.
