i ride in this neighborhood all the time and actually did cut through them once because of a weird car. (the car happened to be a female i knew trying to catch up with me, but i didnt know it was her)
Cars have gender? :couch:

Altho my parents (when I was a kid) called our car "Betsy"... ;)

Hello all! I am new here. Just finished reading all the threads. I love the way everyone interacts here! All good thoughts of what could have happened. I read a lot of Statement Analysis, and I was dumb founded last night while watching NG and heard BW speak of MS in the past tense twice. Did anyone else hear him say she "was" good at things?

Has anyone done the math on Mickey's estimated average travel speed yet?
From camera 1 and camera 2 (1:47 am and 1:48 am) we should be able to figure out her speed by the distance between the two and know that she traveled it in approx. 1 minute. Then by knowing her average speed, we can figure out how long it would have taken her to reach the next camera where the car was caught.

Also, if she was not caught on that camera at the point where the car was on St. Landry, The only possible street she could've turned onto to not be caught on film is Brashear. I can see this as a possibility because its a nice little neighborhood with nice sidewalks as opposed to the ****ed up sidewalks on that portion of St. Landry.

While this is a wonderful idea, I don't have the slightest clue how to do it.

So with my crazy monkey math she seemed to be traveling about 15-18 mph, which is pretty average.

From the last video of her across from the circle K, it should've only taken her about 20 seconds give or take to get to where the next camera is. Not enough time IMO for something to have happened. Leading me to believe she most definitely went down Brashear because that's the only road she could go down before reaching the next camera. And this is completely viable as the neighborhood is fairly nice and quiet. It has nice sidewalks and those traffic barriers and goes all the way to Johnston St where she would hit the bike path. I personally would probably take this route to avoid traffic on St. Landry and avoid the tiny uneven rollercoaster of a sidewalk on that portion of St. Landry as well

I am trying to catch up and wanted to add my thoughts about the possibility that Mickey is in a hospital somewhere. I called my mom, an ICU nurse at Lourdes and asked her how it would be handled if Jane Doe arrives injured. She said they would make every effort to find the family or next of kin. At he point that LE is involved saying Mickey Shunick is missing, please contact LE if you see her."... They could call it in and say "We have Jane Doe that could be Mickey." someone said what of Mickey (being an adult) told them not to call her family (something I highly doubt would occur), since LE is asking for anyone who sees her to report it to them, ethically- its a legal matter and the hospital would call LE. It's like a gunshot wound or child abuse: these are mandatory to be reported by physicians. No matter what excuse the patient or kin give, a gunshot wound must be reported to LE. I hope this makes sense.

That all being say, I don't believe she ever was or is in a hospital related to this incident.

Indeed they are, krisstanamus. These Shunick threads show WS at its utter best.

And also, if she DID go down Brashear (which is likely since she's not on the next camera at St. Landry) that would've only taken her about 20 seconds from 1:48am at the circle K. With the car being down university at 1:49 am and not even having reached St. Landry yet, it never would've even crossed her path or seen her by the time it reached this point....unless of course it went down Brashear too. But that's doubtful because of the traffic barriers. Any VEHICLE wanting to cut across to Johnston wouldn't take Brashear

Are we sure the timestamps are synced?

I wanted to include many more names, but I would have went on and on,...and in the end taken up space that could be used to find Mickey....

Wow...I'm truly humbled.

I've always loved Lafayette ever since we moved here in 2001, but sometimes, I thought maybe I was just a biased, romantic out-of-towner.

Nope. This city is authentic and so are its people.

Don't feel that way, they are doing the best they can, and I believe they are going to find those two vehicles, and soon. At least the car is distinct.

'I do feel like they are giving their all and far exceed performance in prior abduction/missing person cases that I have followed & researched'. They are doing their best to break protocol & utilize their most valuable tool; 'the American public via the media'. For this, I salute them.. The world is watching..

With that said, 'how many of these vehicles which are 30+ years old are still on the road? I could only find two on ebay.

How many times have the perps been stopped for traffic violations?
Predators don't normally begin with a felony abduction, but have a long line of misdemeanors before they follow through on their evil fantasies..

"Public Safety is very important to me & you. Without public safety for our families and loved ones, we have nothing"..

Wow, thanks for reposting this because I didn't see it.

wodalo, if you're here, please talk more about the first pic of Mickey. I didn't see anyone following her in that pic! Can you put up an enhanced version and point it out?

i am a little behind today... i am hoping someone else here can do that for me/you...
understand... on tv when trying to enhance a bad photo they may push the enhance button a few times and end up with a clear picture... it may start there but ends up as something less "visual"... picture an actual heart beating... then picture a sine wave on an ekg... the ekg is just showing a mathematical representation of this beating heart but can tell us a lot more than just "looking" at a heart... somebody here can probably "photoshop" them clearer for you, but I am looking at the picture's "ekg" as well as the photo itself...

that being said... in the first pic of the bike there is a signature of a car about 15 yards behind her but you cant "see" it. the headlights produce a only a reflection from ambient lighting and are clearly off. This is a single lane in this direction and a vehicle should not be parked there. once looking at the right area, you can "see" what appears to be a light source behind it, based on the shadow cast by the vehicle, it appears to be brake lights...

think 15 yards behind her and look again... it is small... top edge on the right

hope that helped...

Please be patient. I just got here and am reading backwards. The white truck image by the wall... is that not a person walking in the upper left?

Where can I find the surveillance videos?
