I just did a little reading about gators. We have a fresh spring near me that empties into a river that is home to gators. They allow swimming and tubing on the spring, and they have a barrier in place to keep the gators out. It must work well. I've never heard of a gator attack. I'm not sure if it's a net that is secured in place or what. But they might be using something similar during their search tonight. I also read that gators do not like to go below a certain depth. So they are likely more dangerous to folks on the surface. I believe they use ropes to help divers when there is a current.

Think I'm going to pull an all nighter just in case we hear something. Either that or I pass out first.

All-nighter for me, too.

I am preparing a Bible Study Lesson I will be teaching Friday night, so I already have my Bible open....... :please: for Mickey and her family and the searchers.

All of this news and LE at Whiskey Bay with divers makes me wonder if the did indeed get a confession and that's why they are out there in the dark, rough waters searching.I did find it strange in the beginning they would dump the bike and nothing else.I think they are
looking for a body JMO

I'll be honest I've never seen divers called out to a dark swamp at this time of night. Who would have called in a tip that something was out there in the first place? Are there people that would or could have already been out there normally and could have just come upon something?

LE is back for a "secondary search" at Whiskey Bay. Potential evidence has been found. Not sure what just yet. LE crews still in Iberville Parish at Whiskey Bay. Dive team has been called in.

Other than that, you missed a stirring, nearly day-long, discussion of white trucks. (Cough-cough-cough.)

LOL got it and thanks for the quick update. It really helps.

Chicken Fried-

I can't find the long post you made earlier regarding MS turning left down Brashear St. If MS did turn down there a vehicle could only follow her 3 blocks to Cherry St where there are posts in the road that forces traffic from Johnston St to turn left and traffic from St. Landry to turn right. She may have been able to pass on her bike but not a vehicle after those 3 blocks.

OK, please don't attack me for this, but I have to ask...what are they hoping the accomplish with the volunteer searches at this point? Is this a way to keep city morale up, or are they hoping to find evidence as a result? Given that it's been 11 days (12, if you count the full first Saturday), and the volunteers have been searching the area she was last seen in for 10/11 of those, I have my doubts that evidence still exists where she was last captured that hasn't already been found (and perhaps not disclosed). Feel free to call me a skeptic, but please no personal attacks. I want closure, more preferably in the form of a theory offered earlier that she was abducted by someone who admired her/wanted her and is treating her wall, as much as anybody.

They are not really branching out the volunteer search areas, correct? I have to be completely honest here, I was relieved when they were called off and am disappointed to see them start again. I have immense respect for TES, and I think we need to give them more than a day of space to "do their thing." If there had been several days or a week break, I'd feel a whole lot better about this. I really think they need their space a bit longer. But, we do want to keep the community involved and on alert, and maybe starting up those searches again can be done without compromising TES efforts?

After the revelations about the truck today, the potential area where the crime happened has vastly
expanded.

Do we have any mods on right now? I'd like to PM without posting in the thread, thanks.

Yes it was sudden. We found out about 1.5 hours ago.

Awe, I guess we wil just have to pray for the best!

I'm thinking someone must have found SOMETHING! Don't I remember LE saying they felt comfortable and were done searching the area for clues? And now this?

You are correct. That's my current theory that she turned down there and road through the traffic barriers straight to Johnston (or intended to)

I apologize. I misunderstood your post that started out "....they found her washed up.....". I thought you were talking about this case. I am sorry for not going back further in the thread to see you were referring to Lacy Peterson.
My bad for adding confusion to this thread. It is a tense time for all watching and waiting.
