I have a missing truck...my son decided he likes our truck and thinks he is the owner of it. Haven't seen it in a month or so. LOL

Is it a white Z71??? lol

  • #682
could it be a different body? that area is infamous

If they ever drained the basin, I wouldn't be surprised if the entire damn thing is bodies.

I have one sorta off topic thing to ask and one really off topic thing to ask:

1: Who is the coroner of Lafayette Parish? Is it still Boustany?

__________

2: (all this talk about trucks made me think this) Why do we call them ice cream trucks when they are vans?

Its odinet the plastic surgeon and lol

Well, what not one single reporter, this ENTIRE time has yet told us, is which side of the exit area they are searching - west or east. Fantastically bad reporting that just keeps chanting, "Whiskey Bay, Whiskey Bay" You have two entirely different water situations on each side of that exit - the deep pilot channel to the west, and the shallow boat launch canal to the east.

But I've been listening hard for days. Maybe there's a news blackout on that info.

Any verified sources on the log? The original tweeter of this info...what entity is he with?

I don't buy it. Something is up... There wouldn't be that many officials, media, unmarked white van, etc. at this time of night for a log!

:floorlaugh: Hey should have been around the time with the trial of Casey Anthony...in that case it was the words "Cart before the horse"

I would think the alligators wouldn't leave much behind?

  • #689
I'm not buying that it's just a log. I want to, for Mickey's sake, but I don't believe it. They would have known that hours ago. :/

That is very possible. They could of found something unrelated to this particular case.

It would not be surprising.

That's actually the reason I joined in 2008!

The Chief of LPD and LCG COA go 25 miles out of Lafayette at 11pm... A wooden log?

I'm married to a police chief who goes to all "important" calls. Everything else gets taken care of by assistant chiefs and lieutenants. They keep him advised with texts and phone calls...yes, his phone sleeps with us.

I seriously doubt he'd be out there this late at night for a log. His days are full of appointments, and scheduled events,( often as early as 7AM) with business meetings after regular office hours if needed.

I believe they probably did find a log, but I would be surprised if there isn't something more to tonight's search than that. :moo:

I wonder if they were trying to spook a suspect? Make somebody sweat. Hmmm...

Unless the alligators are not alligators at all, and are instead feral Cajuns who were also dumped there. That place is what nightmares are made of

Jim Hummel from KATC confirmed it was just a log. However, he also stated that the Lafayette Consolidated Government CAO arrived on scene before any reports surfaced about the outcome of the evidence. Who knows at this point??

I was in a way hoping Mickey had been found...nearly all of the cases I've followed here from the start still have missing victims; Kyron, both Hailey and Haleigh, Katelyn, Lauren, Sierra, Holly, Ayla, Aliayah, Lisa, Joshua, good grief, the list goes on.

Plus, it wouldn't have taken a dive team all day to figure out at 12:30 am that it was a log not a body.
