Thanks you guys for bringing me up to speed with the polygraph info.

I'm wondering if the person who dumped the bike had Mickey in his (her?) truck and kept right on going out of state on the expressway. Where does that expressway lead to in the direction the bike dumper must have been going? Once out of state, the person could have gone anywhere and if the person killed Mickey, she could have been dumped a very long ways from where people are looking for her. I hope she is alive and well somewhere but I suspect she was killed by someone and disposed of somewhere far from her home.

Jan, That is Interstate 10 and it runs all the way to the East coast of Florida. Past Whiskey Bay, there is nearly 18 miles of swampland. Follwed by State Capial of Baton Rouge. Before getting out of Louisiana, I-10 dips below Lake Pontchartrain through New Orleans, where it heads back North to Slidell, La. I-55 and I-59 both run North from there into Mississippi.

I feel its only polite to read over the previous threads and try to be up to current FACTS before posting over and over. I honestly feel like we're going in circles here. :banghead:
Totally understand. With all due respect, the posts are many and often...no one (unless paid to or obsessed) can read every post on a thread (case) such as this. Even the mods can't even begin to monitor every post.

Would that every poster could have nothing else to do than read every single post. Dream world. KWIM? ;)

I'm not sure if I accidentally ingested some sort of hallucinogenic, but some phantom posts from Info are being quoted here, and I'm failing to be able to locate the original posts.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over?

ETA N/M, I see where someone referenced them as *rumors* so I'm guessing they were modded out.

I think they are being deleted because they don't have a credible source to back them up. I'm just glad I'm catching some of them as they come, very interesting though I do realize they are just rumors at this point.

I believe the PD didnt actually start "officially" searching until Monday. I dont remember if it rained on Sunday, but I'm almost positive it rained Monday night.

I asked the canine question too (can they still search after rain) but dont remember getting a response. I'm unsure if the rain ruins the scent.

http://www.wunderground.com/history...tml?req_city=NA&req_state=NA&req_statename=NA

This is a great source to check out the weather for a particular day. It shows that it did not rain on Sunday, May 20, in Lafayette but it did rain on Monday 0.30 of an inch.

And I get this really creepy feeling that they are also watching and possible posting here as well.

The only way we'd know that is if the investigation ceased. He'd do something to show us he did it, which just won't happen.

Info's posts keep getting deleting because they are violating TOS for posting rumors.
(at least, that's what I understand. Same
happened last night)

Damn, I'm a local, ain't I :blushing:

Lol. I took it to mean that you "hear and speak" from experience... so what you initially posted was correct in that context! :)

So, Godot's been doing laundry the entire time? The noive!
Do laundry myself? Sacre bleu! I may be poor, but I'm also lazy. The little lady at the laundromat cuts me a good deal on it.

I assume that posts which violate TOS are being taken down.

If one sees this sort of thing DO NOT QUOTE IT, just makes more work for the mods to remove the subsequent posts too.

I know you're not supposed to but I'm sorta glad when people do, so I can have a chance to read it before it's deleted lol.

That would be incredibly creepy.

I got that same vibe. I'm sure WS isn't the only site.

This needs repeating. It happens all the time in all the cases here at Websleuths and patience is a must.

Yes it gets frustrating but there is no need to be rude or insulting.

As Dushi said most people are here to help and I suggest skipping the post if it stretches your patience.

If a question has been answered 100 times I suspect it will be asked another 100 times by others before the case is over.

Jumping off here... Also, it may do everyone well to remember that although, you may be an "expert" on this case, you may at some point in your WSing career wander into a case where one of these "newcomers" will have the info you need and you will be the one asking the redundant question. If that happens in a case I am well versed in, I promise to give you the decency of a quick answer and link if possible. Everyone is "new" to some case at some point. :moo:

ok This really bothers me so I must post. Then sleep.

A relative of mine in the 1960's had just sold 80k worth of cattle and then he had two PERPS come to his HOME and threaten to kill his wife and 5 children. He wrestled the PERPS and killed one. The story gets worse, but two people are serving life for the crime.

If MS was about to sell a horse, that is HUGE!!!!!

going to sleep....

Nah I doubt that has anything to do with anything. Goodnight!!

The most important clue we have is the white z71. At this point, finding it and ruling it either in or out seems the logical direction to proceed. We know the VOI headed west on St Landry at 1:48 just before something happened to Mickey and the VOI "went" somewhere after that. Whoever abducted Mickey then made their way north to I-10 and headed east to Whiskey Bay. There were a number of cams placed along every potenial route back to the Interstate. The truck had to come from somewhere, perhaps it can be located on cams in the period before Mickey passed in front of Circle K.

Finding additional cam phots of the VOI accomplishes two objectives: 1) get more details about the vehicle; narrow down model and features and 2) cet a clue as to where it had been or where it was going .

Realisticly, there are very few vehicles on the road between say 2:45 and 4:30 AM. Any white z71 caught on any cam anywhere in the Lafayette or Baton Rouge area should be of interest.

Although there might be tens of thousands of white P.U's in the area, specific year/model identity can narrow it down and these can be identified by VIN. (color can not generally be identified by VIN). A few hundred vehicles can be sorted through if LE is willing to invest the resources. ( The FBI has done this on a number of occasions). If a vehicle consistant with know information were caught on a cam on a major road leading from I-10 at, say 4:15 that night, that would tell them where to start.

PS, for what its worth, I am now satisfied that white truck heading east in front of the Circle K is different from out VOI. That white truck does not have the z71 decal on the back sidepanel while the VOI apparently does. I can't eyeball that and I can't see any bed lid but I trust LE, with better originals and better equiptment, can. I am confused as to why this was not clairified sooner.

is it "clever thinking" to remove the grips. i'm not a criminal, but removing the grips makes me think this may have been more than the "oops i hit someone, get rid of the evidence" scenario. it makes me think more serial or organized crime. if it were the accident scenario, i don't think they would have thought to remove the grips.

IF the grips were removed it's because they are difficult to clean, and they would have used the grips to push the bike to the truck.

Yes, I thought of this today and realized that this person knows what they are doing, and most likely is a pro.- if such a thing exists.

Really? I've considered and dismissed the possibility. But I guess it would make sense to troll around some forums to see what people think. ::shudder::

I read it several times to figure out if "hear" was "hear" or "here" and couldn't decide. Either way!
