And 215 st landry is where the olds was caught on surv vid, not too far down. Correct?

I'm just now getting why y'all were suggesting places where she turned off.

It took me a good while to figure out where that surv vid of the olds was from and now Im wondering why I didn't figure out right then that the bike and truck didn't show up.

I'm gettin too old I guess.
I am a little confused. How can you tell by the olds 98 pic that the MS and the truck were behind it? or in front of it? and had not shown up?

Yes they do whenever there is a paid show, which is typical for a Friday night. I don't know what they looked like that night but they are always simple colored paper ones.

Thanks. Anyone have any links to any kind of pics from that show?

Mickey's family did not contact LE until around 6:30 the night of the morning she was last seen. I'm under the impression that organized searches did not begin until Sunday. If my memory serves me correctly, it stormed in Lafayette on Sunday evening. I don't think the St. Landry Street area was searched with canine before the rain. Would the rain effect a canine search?

I believe the PD didnt actually start "officially" searching until Monday. I dont remember if it rained on Sunday, but I'm almost positive it rained Monday night.

I asked the canine question too (can they still search after rain) but dont remember getting a response. I'm unsure if the rain ruins the scent.

Just FYI. There are police sirens everywhere nonstop around university and st landry right now. not a funeral procession, not ambulances. followed by police motorcycles everywhere for 2-3 minutes. sirens, motorcycles, etc. stopped now. seemed more than usual.

Anyone in the area that can perhaps drive by and see what's going on?

As frustrating as it all seems, LE is under no obligation to release any information to the family or general public in an on-going investigation. Their task is to solve the case and not appease the curiosity of us hoi polloi by divulging all their findings. Having said that, I suspect an update from Cpl. McCutie wouldn't be completely unwelcome right about now.

ARE private investigators legal? What is their role in the judicial system?

States have different license requirements for PI's.

Old lady here and I have a utility knife in my house for opening or destroying boxes...and cared one in my car before I bought a little pocket knife for my key chain to just open little snacks pkgs that were stubborn because of long nails. Just sayin'

i hear you... just grabbing at straws here and throwing out discussion other than that of white trucks... just sayin'... if I had to cut grips off a bike... in my car, i'd use my leatherman, at my house or shop, i'd use a utility knife and both may leave distinctive marks... i try to distance myself from the popular chatter and go off on another direction... thanks for your input on the matter...

i'd like to hear some outside "the box this has become" thinking here...

peace

Watching the traffic camera at University and I-10 I see a funeral procession now.

The more I think about it the more I think turning onto Azalea from the back parking lot of LCG is very likely. It would put her in an area with many homes and a quick shot to Souvenir Gate to Cajun Dome Boulevard which is a route I would take having lived in the Saint Streets. However, even though I personally feel it would be the safest, there are a few small pockets of dark and high fencing which would make it difficult for residents to hear some sort of struggle. Just my 2 cents. Also, I recall early on, possibly the Monday or Tuesday of her disappearance, that there were what would appear to be extensive searches on Azalea.

Anyone know what band was playing that night? Perhaps a check on Youtube might reveal some video footage of the night.

Feu Follet was one of them. It was some kind of free show for clean air. Since it was free I don't know if they would use armbands that night.
