But, how many people would be willing to help another person cover up a crime? Intoxicated or not, I wouldn't.

Well, this kid has two friends who allowed him to flee the scene after his first hit and run, which completely destroyed another vehicle, and took that person's life. So I wouldn't be surprised if he had help covering up this crime.

Neither katc or klfy (local abc and cbs affiliates) mentioned on the 10:00 news what The Ind reported this evening, nor any new developments.

The police probably have nothing on him.

I've posted at GLP for seven years. It has breaking news long before the MSM hears it as a rumor. It's always been that way. Yes, people discuss the paranormal, conspiracy, criminal politics, aliens and UFOs, but that just adds to the fact the posters are out of the box thinkers and MANY have inside information from anything like troop movements to crime. There is no better site for breaking news. However, I understand that mainstream folks don't cotton to the atmosphere. Anyway, this poster was right and I'm not surprised that someone there knew something.

IF McGill is involved with whatever has happened to Mickey, I would not (because of his prior) assume it was a drunk driving 'accident'. This could still be a straight up abduction. I also have a hard time imagining someone plastered drunk being able to scoop up their victim, her bike, and all evidence, and be gone before anyone witnessed it.

I'm hanging on to the abduction theory, too. Valid points about an intoxicated driver pulling off the grab & go.

I'm asking because it could explain where he was heading (frat row)

That is very sleuthy of you.

Why does all the juicy stuff happen when it's time for sleep?

I have a feeling the lid is going to blown off this tomorrow.
Got to blow off before two because I have a doctor's appt., lol. I DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS.

If McGee was involved and had a passenger, it's going to spill. Count on it. Cajuns live to talk, and Breaux Bridge is more Cajun than darn near anywhere else in the state. Heck, Breaux Bridge invented Crawfish Etouffee, and is home to the state's largest Crawfish Festival - excuse me... l'festivale ecrevisse!

The questioning may have given a location to search in which case Stanley would want to be there if they found anything, I would think.

I don't see why LCG's CAO needs to be on-site during a night search two parishes away. He would have no authority there. He's not a member of LE.. Any warrant that would be issued in his parish (Lafayette) would have to go through the DA.. I really can't find a logical reason.

Don't know if this is the same guy as that was leaving the cryptic clues at GLP, but someone left posts last night and this evening that lead you to believe the author knows what is going down. I won't post his screen name. He said that McGee and his damaged truck were taken into custody last night by a large contingent of police. This he said has not been reported by the MSM. That could explain the rumors coming out of Henderson.

Lafayette police, of course, are denying anyone is in custody.

It does make me wonder. If he is a troll, he is convincing.

Like
Mcgee's landing in Henderson that is between Breaux Bridge and Whiskey Bay over the levee?

Draw your own conclusions.

Aahhhh...didn't dawn on me about the last name til you mentioned it.

I must be out of the loop. I have lived in Breaux Bridge for 12 years and have never met anyone with that last name here.:waitasec:

You should be fine. News seems to only break at night in this case.

Probably related. Everyone there with the same last name is, one way or the other. That place is a kick.... great band and dancing on the levee.

If people from Henderson are involved, that fits with Whiskey Bay.

You and Lava (post above) both have good points. I still wouldn't help, but I completely see what both of you are saying, and could see why someone may.

All I know about RM is what I read in the article that a few people linked for me (TY, BTW). Who is VS - I'm assuming someone who was with him in the accident when he was 17? So, how did LE begin to speculate about RM? Something must've tipped them off to question him, I'm assuming...?

The police probably have nothing on him.

This is a good point. Let's assume that the rumors about the damage to his vehicle are true. LE still would need to verify that this damage is consistent with the damage of the bike, etc. there's work to do before charges are brought. I'm confident they are doing this work. Nothing LPD has done or not done thus far gives me cause for concern.

The white truck in VS picture, the snow picture, seems to show writing on the drivers side door. I know Silverado's have that, anything else?

i've been looking at this for awhile...i worked at a chevy dealership for quite a few years. I am almost convinced it's a silverado 1500 z71. some have decals and some don't---also---a lot of people customize vehicles like that. the 95 comes standard with black running boards---you can ask for chrome and a dealership will customize it for you (if buying new of course lol)

I can't pin the year down though....

For non-locals - Henderson is a town on the west levee of thge Atchfalaya Basin - about 15 or so miles from Lafayette - east on I-10 - exit 115, I believe. One of the MAIN jumping off points for fisherman and hunters.

I have an 8:40 followed my a string of meetings.

OTOH, that probably means the whole puzzle will be solved between 8:00 & 6:00 eastern time. (<- good thing)

I'll just have to read the reports.
