What in the world do the other folks call their grandfathers? (We have lots of "grandaddies" around here.)

Pappy, peepaw, papaw, pappaw, gramps, grampaw...I like them all.

Anybody know if there are traffic cams aimed at McGee's house? lol

I know there isn't much actual proof that McGee was involved (besides LE confirming they spoke to him, and the fact that he already murdered somebody and drove off to let them die), I just want this to be true. I want Mickey to be found alive, but since that probably won't happen, I want closure for her family, and an arrest made.

Hitting the hay, and hoping for some great news tomorrow.

Yep, those too. Its really just a hellish nightmare land in the achafalaya basin.

10% murky water. 10% alligators, sharks, snakes, garr fish and demons
10% bodies and bones and 70% nightmares

Pop, PawPaw...that's what mine are called.
Both of mine were Grandpa (but half of my family is from Illinois/Tennessee, so that might be why)

Am I reading this wrong?

"his was driving" is obviously a typo but does it not say he was struck by another vehicle, that vehicle being driven by RM? I'm reading it as RM hit him. Did I miss a line that says the victim turned into RM?

That is how I read it too (despite the typo).

The man who was killed was struck by another vehicle driven by RM.

That's what it says.

Sorry CF..I am not trying to disrespect you, but I'm not buying the fact that an ex-journalist turned Administrator is needed to oversee several experienced law enforcement agencies (city, parishes, state). From what was being said on via radios, they were not confused as to what needed to be done.

I think it may be a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation (re: LCG being there if a body was found). He may have been there for moral support. Who knows.

I'm tough and can take it. I'm pretty outdoorsy to begin with and have three rough and tumble little boys so I'm used to the heat and mosquitos and woods. I think I can hang--and my OB said as long as I'm well-hydrated, he wouldn't forbid me from doing it.

I figured as much. We're all pretty climatized down here.

Now that means most of us can hang -- not that we'll like it IF we choose to! Lol

Well, I kind of want to walk my statement back a bit. I really was addressng less Stanley himself, than the coordination needed. I should have thought a little more about what I wanted to say before I wrote. I'm trying to go really fast and finally catch the front of this thread, while still responding!!!!!

Sorry!

Just because someone has been cleared doesn't mean that LE won't go back and interview them again. It's happened before.

I think that it's technically true that RM hit him, but in the article it says after the other vehicle turned out in front of him.

Rocky McGee. Just wondering if they have issued a warrant for him...trying to validate this in some way other than The Independent.

BTW, Ko Dupuis Rd. is the next road to Courville...the house in question is on Courville...and there's a bayou/river that runs against their backyard. :/

You guys I have chills. Today I was driving down I-20 on my way to work, and I knew the guys name stated with an R and somehow I got V instead of Mcgee. So of course I start thinking cajun last names and verette comes to mind.

That's it, the next thing I "know" I am calling in.

Unless you're skiing behind a boat :)

Would like to see the investigation on that accident. How fast was Mcgee estimated to be traveling, what was the speed zone in the area, what do skid marks show? All of that would make a difference.

In light of what chicken fried has told us, and since Amin Jalaudin Amlani (the dead guy) doesn't sound local (understatement), it wouldn't surprise me if some conversations took place to make sure the dead guy was at fault. You never know.

The poster username "Info"?

Am I allowed to post the screen name of someone at another forum?

Also, can I provide links to the pages in question?

I think it's a very telling sign that theind isn't that respected of a news site because KLFY's facebook page doesn't have any posters asking about it, and KATC only has one.
