Back during the discussion about where the bike was, I thought to myself "Self, I wonder how all these non Louisianians are pronouncing Portage?"

Then I saw the GIF picture and that thoroughly creeped me out until I realized that that was just not a likely scenario.

According to statements released by LE, it's not the same truck. AFAIK, they haven't come out and cleared up the confusion over it, which would be really, REALLY nice.

Can you include a link to those statements? All I can find is the the other white truck with the bed cover is ruled out. I can't find anything at all about the truck traveling in the opposite direction being ruled out.

She could have turned on Calder. Maybe that is why they thought she was heading for Johnston.

And if she is on M&C video 'on the other side of the street at 2 am in the dark' being filmed by a camera whose purpose is to be looking the exact opposite way (why would a funeral home have an inside camera? I have been to a funeral there and the open caskets are inside on the st landry side of the wall - would these videos be filming funerals?) she is probably hugging the left side of st landry going left onto the street .....where the imagin center is on rt and obgyn offices on left. and terrible awful delivery truck entrances to hospital accessible to that street. shudder - there is under hospital delivery area AND there is back alleys (which I dare even park my car in daylight) next to the place I study (disclaimer) P'J's coffeeshop and subway.

would be hard to make out a silhoutte more less a person on a bike at that hour with an interior camera across the street.

Somehow, I have managed to become MORE confused than ever, when I came over here to catch up on the day. At this point, I feel like I have been on a roller coaster. I saw her hit by that truck with my own eyes, and then I decided that I did not really see that. And now I do not know anymore, one way or the other.

I feel the same way about Rocky. At first I totally believed the rumors, and figured it was all over, but the announcement. But now, I am not so sure. It seems to me that if he had front end damage and no alibi for that night, he would be in jail. So I really do not know what to think about this case.

In my gut I feel like an experienced perp grabbed her and ran. But I hope I am wrong.

I don't know if this has been discussed. I found a 4-door white pickup at 134 Cedar Crest Court on Google Earth street view. This house is one block from the 100 Ryan St. house. About 350 feet. But, I am no expert in identifying these trucks. It looks similar to a Z-71 but it is difficult to tell from the 2-3 images you get on street view. There is unfortunately a crepe myrtle next to the driveway that obscures the closest image. Anyone want to take a look?

We don't know that either of these occurred. I also don't remember any confirmation that they have video footage from the funeral home at 330 St. Landry But I may be wrong. I'm going to have to make a camera map for all of us because this "where's the camera" circus day after day is really making my head hurt.

No, she wasn't run over. That's way too far-fetched for too many reasons to list.

That truck seems to be extended cab. The VOI is 4 door.

Since we're talking about LS, this brings me to something that confuses me.

I read an article the other day that popped up on my homepage (I'll try to look for it later) about how police from IND and LA talked to one another to see if the LS and MS cases could be related.

The article ended by saying that LE in LA knew something about the MS case that proved that it was not related to Lauren's.

I never thought the two were related, but what I don't understand is what could they possibly know about MS's case that would definitively lead them to say that it COULD NOT be related to LS's?

ETA: Now, all I can find are articles stating that LE "does not believe there is a connection," but I swear I saw somewhere that they were basing this off of something they knew about Mickey's case. I'll keep reading.
