The possibility that someone is being protected through who their daddy is, or a corporation is being protected against liability. A very unsettling thought, but just saying it does happen down here once in awhile.

Not saying that happened here. Just giving general reasons things can get hinky.

With complicity by FBI? I wonder how much involvement they had on the ground.

I can't see Mickey bothering to go to Taco Bell and then back to her friend's house, if she really had secret plans to hook up with someone else later...seems she would be anxious to get there. Unless of course it was someone who had to work until 2am or so.

I know this has probably been answered, but is the diner her friends all ended up going to anyplace in the direction she was traveling? Or the opposite? I know I read that she had wanted to go there, they didn't, and then later they changed their minds and texted or called her about it.

2956 Johnston ST. - Mel's Diner -1/2 mile past her usual turn on Cajundome

I hope you have a fresh theory. Many we've been tossing around are getting ragged around the edges. :)

I just feel that we're concentrating so much on this white truck, because its really the only scrap of meat that LE has thrown our way.
What if she really WAS feeling under the weather, so she turned around to head back to B's house? Or, maybe she turned around to find/use a public restroom?
I want to look...backwards.
I want to know options on return routes.
I want ...her to go home,to the ones who love her so much.

Unless they have other evidence ie. on the bike.

Or, more pointedly, in/on his car. One rumor going around the other day was that his car had recent damage to it. Just a rumor, though.

IF he's involved--and that's a hypothetical scenario with no evidence supporting it--you wouldn't necessarily need a body to pin this on him.

But keep in mind all we know officially about McGee is that he was questioned. There is no reason, as of now, to assume any involvement on his part. He owns a white truck. He has been involved in a car accident before. He is the subject of a lot of rumors. Put together, those things don't amount to much.

To not tip someone off?

Hoping the perp will lead them somewhere as they did in the SL case. They even had LE move in next to AGT undercover.

Yeah, but would they lie to the public? That's a direct lie, you know if they have footage of her on 216 camera and released the Olds shot and said they had nothing past Circle K. Are they allowed to directly lie to the public like that?

Best be careful with the rumors, folks. We were sternly warned earlier ... that there would be time-outs.

Well, I don't know what options we have for return routes once she's in front of the Circle K, that's the problem right now.

An active and willing volunteer search is being conducted every day to find Mickey. No one has given up, the one day suspension was to follow on a lead. TES has set up a foundation and ground rules, as well as a blueprint to search across the Louisiana countryside.

Also, the cameras on I-10 do not capture the area of interest where the bike was found. I have been part of a search of this area and its the very desolate, eerie, and covered with litter.

I've become accustomed to your late night appearance. Thank you for all you are doing.

Gotcha.

I would not be surprised if LPD questioning McGill will turn to be related to what happened. It may not be him but someone known to him.

I don't follow that reasoning. Guys that drive Z-71's and get drunk and kill people in accidents tend to know each other? Wouldn't that be an extraordinary coincidence?

Or the perp could have 'searched' while messing up the scene or scooping up evidence.

I thought of that especially in the early days before TES. Maybe the "scene" wasn't cleaned up as well as we think. The perp goes back and even blends it with the search party. He knows exactly where to go...

Is 216 a private residence? If so, did you verify a camera there?

That's the business that got the Olds picture.

you want to see what 216 sees, look at the Olds shot.

The need for resolution is overriding logic.

What? I haven't heard of them but I've skipped lots of pages. Link?

NO. We're not supposed to discuss that. First-time poster came in and dropped that and refused to source it whatsoever and the post got deleted, and the big chees here gave a firm warning not to discuss it.

But the trail turn dead cold at the corner of St. Landry and University. Just six-tenths of a mile from her departure point. Your are right. The truck may be a total red herring. But without, how do we proceed?

What if she met someone at Artmosphere who invited her to his home? What if he lived off of Brashear? What if she wrapped up her evening with BW planning to head to this guy's home without letting anyone know? What if the as-yet-unknown text was from him, looking for ETA, impatient. What if once she got there things went horribly wrong? What if he dumped the bike in an attempt at misdirection and in order to discourage any suspicion of the houses in the neighborhood? What if the only reason LE is looking at white trucks is for someone who may have seen her in order to narrow down her last known vicinity? Is she being held there? How plausible of a scenario is this?

I find that highly unlikely. If it were me, at that age, I would have told one my girlfriends (at Artmosphere).

I am really troubled by the person at Catfish Heaven (is that the name?) who wadded up her missing poster and threw it on the ground. VERY troubled, in fact.

I've considered the return route as well. Maybe she forgot something...maybe a million reasons. She's young, she wasn't far from where she started..

I don't think the possibility of her circling back has been ruled out, especially since we really have NO idea where she was after 1:48 AM. None.

She could have gone anywhere. Whatever happened could have happened at 1:50 or 4:00AM. Baffling.

Somebody last night who knew Rocky, said his Z-71 was an extended cab. Not a 4-door. Is that correct?

I'm pretty sure the areas we searched have been searched by LE somewhat. Some specific areas they have definately searched thoroughly. Plus searchers must sign a release form giving info and drivers liscense. I doubt the perp would risk this.

chicken fried: When do you anticipate that your "big production" will be ready to unveil? Maybe not 'til tomorrow? (I was hoping to stick around for it, but gotta get some sleep.)
