So she gets a text at BW's house, then within a few minutes of that, she says she's ready to leave because she isn't feeling well (but yet she feels well enough to go to TB for food).

Hmmm...

Sounds like the stage was set for her to meet some sort of connection. Booty call, or just hanging out, or maybe to score some MJ. Thoughts?

And couldn't the telephone # of the last person who texted her be gleaned thru phone records from her provider?

I thought it was known that her friend Ashley Says was the source of the last text. I do not have a link for that, but I thought it was part of public record. Ashley was a major search organizer with BW.

yes, but why would a security guard, who I would assume would be posted standing up at a doorway-not down at street level where she might ride by-have a chance to get to know talk to her and learn her route? He might see her ride by his position occasionally...but have not known where she was prior nor after. JMO

Who says the door isn't at street level? And correct me if I'm wrong but I think the guard is a she, not a he?

From the beginning I thought she was going meet someone. Remember it was her birthday weekend. I was inclined to think she was going continue her "celebrating" somewhere else. Then those videos popped up, but Im still not convinced she was on her way home. Its hard to say while still missing so many facts. But Im working on filling in the blanks.

Chicken Fried talked to the guard so I believe him. I thought it was odd when I read it too, you don't usually befriend people along your bike route because it is like driving a car, you just ride by. I commuted by bike for years and that never happened to me, and I'm generally friendly. Maybe she had an interaction with him at some point (if she had a problem with her bike at that intersection or something or just in her regular life), so she knew him somehow.

I believe Chicken Fried too! I just think in the realm of possibilities that Mickey knew her her abductor...this could fit in that area. It has hinky written all over it to me JMO

Here's chicken fried's post. The guard is a female:

I will give y'all one thing now to discuss. I rode around with a security guard at the closed Our Lady of Lourdes hospital for half an hour, and the guard saw Mickey all the time and talked with her and knew her route. I will be calling the PI to make sure he has interviewed the guard.

The guard said that Mickey did not go all the way to Coliseum Rd. at the dead end of St. Landry. She said that Mickey turned left on St. Julien, right on Johnston, and right on Cajundome.

Maybe that information has been printed before, and maybe that's what her family has said - I honestly don't know and don't know where to find the link.

But a guard who saw Mickey says her route home included cutting over to Johnston St., using St. Julien St., because the guard used to see her turning left there after passing the hospital.

I don't think she was looking to score pot at 2 am. She had plenty of time to do that earlier in the night. No reason to do so alone in the middle of the night, on bicycle. She didn't need it at that hour, and she had early family obligations the next morning. I don't think she would have kept that a secret from BW either. So I count that scenario out, imo.

But there is the possibility that she wanted to hang out with someone she liked or had just met. And I can see that she might have kept that a secret, and wanted to just swing by somewhere on her own. But LE must have her cell records and would know if there was a secret text from someone, setting it up.

She had her brother's graduation ceremony to attend the next day. Would she be doing something like that the night before?

Anybody remember what time the graduation ceremony was scheduled for?

Surely, he/she was thoroughly checked out by LE. He would seem to be such an obvious POI.

If he did befriend her somehow, the I find that strange as well......

Let's not forget about the little thing down here called Southern Hospitality! I have lived here all my life and just knew the world as it is here. Traveling to some northern states, I was appalled at the difference. Men don't always hold the door open for women, people don't smile or make eye contact, they come off almost rude in comparison. However that is the "norm" for "up there" lol. I attended and graduated the same college as Mickey. I worked on campus. I befriended the janitors. I didn't have a bike, but walked around campus lots. If they were outside smoking and I passed by, we smiled, waved, said hello, they showed me pics of their grandkids, told me good luck on my finals.

I worked as a security guard for 2 large corporations right after HS, and had to walk the grounds and building with 2 hour intervels switching off with another guard. I cannot see any reason for a guard to be down by a street or a sidewalk, imo. Many of my coworkers were my age or a little older (as well as retired seniors)---college students, working nights or night owl to support themselves. My thought is, it could be she knew or met the same person/guard in a social setting like a party or at one of the local hangouts.

Well on street view in google maps, the doors are set back from the street...not where you could speak to someone riding a bike on the street...so unless the guard was mobile (walking or on a scooter/etc)...they would have to make effort to speak to a rider. When Chicken Fried was posting about the guard, I was under the assumption it was a "he". I am not positive though.

I guess the pepper spray she was reported carrying didn't work.

...Which tells me she was either taken at gunpoint or by stun gun, or by bump & snatch. Or she simply went willingly and was subdued at an opportune moment.

If you are out of weed...you are out of weed so you want to get some. And if you can't get a hold of your weed guy until late at night...you stop on the way home.

It depends on how big of a pothead she is but, believe me, it's very plausible. The caveat is that at some point in the evening she probably would have called/texted the person she was going to buy pot from. Maybe she got a text back saying "after 1" or something like that. Of course without her phone there are no text records. And if Brettly is not a big pot smoker she very well might not have told him she was stopping to buy some, not if she weren't getting some for him too.

I believe Ashley was the call...not the text.

So true..and I am from Chicago.....I guess I am used to the lack of hospitality and jadedness of people. I do find myself pleasantly surprised when people smile and say hello when I am out walking or riding my bike.

The graduation was @ 11:30 am, IIRC.

Don't get me wrong---I think she was probably headed home. I don't think she was looking to score pot.

But there is still a slight possibility that she was taking a quick side trip somewhere that we do not know about. I can only go on what I know about my kids, who are 24 and 20. That is how they roll, and it drives me nuts sometimes.

I agree. Definitely possible. If graduation is at 11:30, she had 9.5 hours from the point that she disappeared. Still time to do something.

I was going to do the same thing. Thanks.

There have been several people here lately who were associated with the volunteer search who thought they had relevant information that was not known to the general public. But they were not apparently VERIFIED and their information was considered rumor.

If I understand this correctly, VERIFIED POSTERS have more liberty to share unsubstantiated information. If there are any present, and they have information they wish to share something, I think it would be VERY helpful at this point.

The trail is cold and the well of clues has run dry.

I have brought a few interesting details to the table and then someone mentioned the whole "verified poster" thing. I checked it out and really don't think it applies to me. I don't consider myself really "in the know" as I didn't have close ties to Mickey or any of her family/friends. Yes I am a local, know the area, am involved in search efforts, and have met her family/friends because of that, but being that I didn't know them before, I don't consider myself an expert or anything.

Another thing I want to clarify. I do not know RM, never claimed to know him. All I said was that, I gave a fellow searcher a ride to a search site, and learned that her bff was RM's gf. I only know what she told me, and according to the powers that be, all that is considered rumor. A.C.I. is the one who said his Z71 was extended, not crew cab. Being that he is a P.I., I can only assume he researched that on his own, I don't think he ever claimed to know R.M. The photo that was seen on FB was a crew cab, with the chrome gas cap cover...but no one knows if that was RM's truck, or a friend's.
