What happened with the abandoned boat on the side of the road, reported earlier by a poster here? Did anything become of that?

That was me that found it and another member who uploaded for me. Seems like just an abandoned boat upon further inspection earlier by me. Still creepy cause of the fact it was on university ave.

The person who spotted it called it in to LE. They did go back and take a few more pics of what looks to be an abandoned, trashed boat; steering and carpet looked ripped out, gashes in the hull, etc. Appears to be something someone who was too lazy to dispose of properly abandoned.

I worked at OLOL hospital prior to it moving to a new location, and I can assure you the guards were not out in front of the hospital talking to bikers as they went by. I still drive by frequently and never see any security guard standing outside of the building.

I drove by the other day, and there was someone in a uniform sitting out front in a lawn chair! I don't know if it was a security guard or someone taking a break from a search---

Would that be a 2 hour time frame? Or did someone call her and Mickey's phone shows this was the last attempt at contact?

Or is there more video/pictures we are unaware of? I really don't think so.

Here is the request for video so I am going to assume there would be a specific reason for that time frame.

Maybe her cell ? I don't know.

Lafayette, LA – Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department are asking business owners and those residents with video surveillance equipment to review footage from May 19, 2012, between the hours of 1:30 am and 3:30 am. Being that there is no confirmed route that was taken by Mickey Shunick on her bike, she could have been possibly captured by equipment not checked by police. Anyone finding any footage of interest is asked to call the tips line at 337-291-8633.

So initially I was not here. My wife told me that she had tried to contact her, I think about 9:00 or so later that morning, and her phone went straight to voicemail. So she tried a couple more times.

Then they went to my son`s graduation, and Mickey didn`t show up, which she was (INAUDIBLE) she was certainly planning on being there. Her sister was in from Dallas and it was -- you know, it was a big family thing.

I wonder... But, there are many ways he could've told someone. An e-mail, Yahoo Messenger, a PM on Facebook, etc.

Being able to instantly contact people in a variety of ways is both comforting and a curse.

Yes KateB, when you are called to work you have to go-you just do it.
