1. She was hit by a drunk/distracted driver, and taken as a cover up.

2. She was targeted by a stalker, and he finally got his chance that night.

3. She was in wrong place, wrong time and taken spontaneously by an opportunistic perp.

4. She went someplace else, in secret, to meet up with a crush/pot dealer/friend, and she met with harm there.

5. She ran off....

6. She met up with someone that she knew and trusted...

I suppose the police, FBI, etc. just haven't noticed that Mickey was under the truck. Has anyone pointed it out to them, yet? Or, to the the PI that the family hired?

This is just my opinion and I understand why everyone is so stuck on the truck, BUT people really need to stop shooting down on other peoples opinions that don't revolve around the truck...the police never once came out and said "heres the truck that took Mickey, you find the truck and you find the person who took her." I just find myself getting annoyed when people call the person in the white truck the "perp"...based on what FACTS?

I use 'perp' for every hypothetical scenario. Perp on foot, perp on a bike.

There's definitely a perp somewhere and no, we don't know it's the person in the truck.

It's just as likely that LE hopes the person in the truck witnessed a perp on foot or something else of value to the investigation, IMO.

I think 3 is most likely, 2 is somewhat likely, and 1 is a possibly.

Hi, I live in Lafayette and when I first heard about the case my mind immediately went to a drunk driver (due to time of night and location near downtown). I assumed that he/she hit Mickey and panicked (knew he/she was going to go to jail for a long time and covered it up). I thought about the possibility that it could have been a fraternity guy headed back to the fraternity houses. If that's the case he could have possibly committed the crime and be back "home" (if home is not Lafayette) now since school is out for summer. Which could possibly explain LE still searching for this VOI?

Very sad situation either way.

Think we have to add medical in this list as it was stated she was not feeling well (tired/nausea).

Hangover or not you would think that as the day went on her stomache etc., would of settled.

ETA I know I have asked this before but do we know of any medical issues/conditions?

Personally thinking she's still alive is no stronger than a rumor. Intuition is not fact.

he might be saying that she is still alive due to his clues (whatever he may have lol), so in turn would knock out the drunk-driver theory IN HIS MIND. Still intuition, I know, but could definitely be a Freudian slip on his part, b/c he ended up backsliding saying he was undetermined?! Who knows though, then we have to get into psychology, philosophy, etc :banghead:

No particular reason provided, but if TES is returning, I would think a new lead has developed. JMO because their services are in high demand, and they generally only work a case when there is something to work with.

does not sound good :-/ Always a ray of hope though, but d*mn...not sure why TES would return after leaving unless finding new evidence the K-9's Recovery---I understand it could be for evidence, but that's not likely what they are looking for.

I agree with your choices. I know how girls that age are sometimes. My DD does not always like to share with all of her friends, all of her 'bizness' as she calls it. Sometimes if she is interested in someone, she might meet up with him for breakfast at the end of the night, and not tell the other friends she was with earlier. She likes to keep the drama out of new potential relationships so she keeps that separate sometimes while getting to know someone. So I do think it is possible that she was planning to take a side trip on her way home. But I don't know for sure.

can the FBI/LE legally "break" into somebody's facebook account. I don't mean look at it, I mean login?! Look at private messages and such---I'm sure there would be a trail of some sort if she had a new relationship?! Hard telling though...

I can't shake the feeling or overlook the possibility that she misread someone terribly, someone she thought was one thing but in reality was another.
