If you don't follow directions they don't let you search. They have this organized the way they do for a reason. If people go on what they want to do it could end up in wasted man power and assets.

While the way it's done can seem inefficient, unfortunately it's the best way to stay organized. Yes it can waste lots of time and gas, having to go back to headquarters to confirm any minor change. There were times I questioned how the system could be improved, but TES has been doing this for years and this is the method they suggested.

I can't follow this thread as closely as I'd like just because I don't have the time. I read something about a horse and cutting it's nose? What is that about? TIA!

Just trying to get an outside perspective on a currently unfolding idea. And the suspicious behavior I mentioned would entail driving around the circle K and the strip/jefferson street at 2:00am. Just driving blocks for about 20 minutes. Then taking a secluded road to a town about an hour away and driving out into the middle of nowhere. Empty fields for miles, before turning around and going home at 4:00am. Then lying about doing any of that. Also injured themself "searching" alone in backwoods areas, including whiskey bay the day before the bike was found. Combined with what I already asked, Ive been a little more than curious

Does this person have a criminal record? Or is he/she only known to have suffered a loss in the past and been a victim him/herself?

Thank you for this, G. Rose.

Anyone - is the old OLOL hospital located near the Saint streets?

tia

Mickey would have passed it if she'd continued on St Landry, IIRC.

Just something for folks to ponder, when discussing calling LE about things and also when handling rumors:

I just wasted FIVE HOURS last night and this morning listening to police scanner files from a couple days ago that had nothing of interest. The way the files were set-up and formatted, I was unable to get them to burn onto any disc, or get them to play on any other device than the PC in my room, and they had to be listened to, straight through. Every time I had to leave the room, I had to pause them and come back to them so as not to miss a single LE call.

They were forwarded to me to be double-checked because someone swore to A.C.I that they had heard the police announce that they had found more video of Mickey, but he couldn't find it anywhere.

Seeing as how crucial to the case finding more video would be, I took the time to do it.

Whoever gave A.C.I that garbage tip just took me away from some leads I'm following, and impeded my investigation, and wasted A.C.I's time, too. I'm not happy about it.

Either LE purposely redacted their scanner files to hide it, or someone had a heck of an imagination.

But this is an object lesson in how every tip called in has to have some merit, so as not to waste manpower.

Just something to think about.

No past criminal record. Mental illness in the family. Lost a child similar to Mickeys age. Went missing and wasnt found for months (Guilty party was caught)

bbm. HUH?

ok, tired of running to the urban dictionary of text acronyms. What I mean is that a "confusion mobile" could be created for the purpose of doing crimes. IDK about the most recent model years, but the difference between GMC and Chevy is like the difference between Shell gas and Exxon gas. There isn't any. Looking for a strictly Chevy z71 Silverado is fine if you can rule out substitution of grilles, emblems, wheels.

A.C.I., I see where you're going and that's a bit scary. I have considered something similar, but being that you're the P.I. and know how to go about getting names and details, I really see how you might be on to something with that!

I have a question for anyone in the mental health industry. How often is it the case when someone suffers a tragedy (similar to this) with a violent and traumatic ending, and they are obviously "a little off" mentally, that they then become drawn (sexually or otherwise) to things reminiscent of said tragedy?

Calling Pensfan---our verified mental health expert.

Extremely suspicious behavior. Sounds like the story that Antolin guy gave about the day Sierra Lamarr went missing. Putting themselves in the area's of question but with a different explanation.

I dont think it was a garbage tip. Just misheard. And these files are from a source away from LE so they wouldnt have been able to be redacted. Thanks for the effort though. Had to be certain

Jeez, i'd be more than little curious!

I think the consensus, from the horse experts, is that it is nothing. A red herring. Apparently Mickey's horse had a cut on the nose. But horse owners are saying that is a very common occurrence, as they get cut on fences and branches, and ...?

That's why Charlie said not to focus specifically on THAT truck, but something similar to that.

:what:
Can you say what type of injury they had?
And while I am at it, where exactly is "the middle of nowhere" (hehe...doubt you can answer but might as well give it a shot)!

Are you referring to the above behaviours AFTER Mickey went missing?

I as a parent might do those exact things. Although I wouldn't lie about it.

I'm glad I checked, just to be sure, as new video would be important.

Let me rephrase "garbage tip," in the event it's someone you know. What I meant is that hearing that the police found video is a pretty specific thing to hear, and there was nothing remotely like it. Whoever "heard" it cost us both time, and that kind of "mishearing" goes with the territory, I guess. But quite wasteful..

The good thing is: if it's not an LE source then they couldn't redact it, so at least we can cross that off the list :)

ACI...why would this person be searching WB before the bike was even found? Seems like a long way from where mickey went missing?

My speculation has equal weight to ALL others, even those who laugh openly at the proposition that Mickey is RIGHT THERE under the ROAD WORK SIGN. and with her bike under the front right wheel of the Silverado. It must be considered that this is the last move she made as a free woman. It has equal weight as any other theory until PROVEN OTHERWISE. Mickey-down-004 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Can't see any of your pics (are they the same ones you posted yesterday?) and not sure what exactly your speculation is?
