Charlie posted a pic of her on FB, and as far as I can see the media hasn't picked it up yet. I shared it on my wall and a friend of mine says there was something on BIA but my FB is now actin' the donkey and I can't go to anything or anyone's page. So, I don't have a link. But I am working on it.

LOL I was replying to you and there was a gigantic thunder, then my internet started acting the donkey too. BIA can't verify yet that there has been an actual missing person's report filed. They have called around to different PDs and can't get verification so they are asking for more info.

I'm not too fond of the serial killer angle. Although it would make sense, considering the quick presence of the FBI. What do we know about the scenario?

Mickey was in BikeLafayette and she was an avid cyclist.

Every Friday members of BikeLafayette ride around the downtown area, going to restaurants or bars, especially Artmosphere.

Mickey consistently rode her bike home, by herself, from BW's house.

Her patterns, IMO, all point to someone local, who was familiar with Mickey's tendencies. Maybe it was someone who was at Artmosphere that night, or someone who knew, like me, that cute girls in BikeLafayette would be riding their bikes around town that Friday. I became accustomed to seeing cyclists pass by my house every Friday. This leads me to believe that the perp is someone younger, who is familiar with the Nightlife here in Lafayette.

Or another cyclist. Someone who is aware of what BikeLafayette does but not necessarily part of the scene. Maybe someone older, who she might of shunned due to age.

just a thought.

Since there are no MSM links, can I just post her sister's FB? https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000676212889#!/profile.php?id=100000676212889 she has a pic of Christina with her two daughters there. Says she broke up with the boyfriend months ago and if she left with him it wasn't by choice...

Duuuuh...finally I see I was looking from the wrong angle?! I thought I was loosing my grip from the lack of anything useful!?!? I thought she was walking, not standing with her bike. Damn but I feel silly?!?!

Yes, I always thought she was stopped looking around or behind her.

Not silly. The bike is definitely at an angle. You can tell by the light if you compare it to other pics. I cannot tell if she is sitting, riding or walking but it is at an angle for whatever reason.

To me her body language says stopped and looking behind or around. Not sprinting or standing in pedals as someone suggested earlier.

Didn't she go with Shelly on that route?. I still want to see the route that Taste of Honey used. I thought parts of the Saints street neighborhood looked re-fashioned, while others were a bit run-down, but maybe an architectural historian could explain regional differences in building structures over decades. I think older southern neighborhoods tend to perplex people from other parts of the country. We use a lot of wood, not much stone, but I'm sure all that info is in some work somewhere. Is that my way of saying it would look worse to someone from another area, but somewhat 'shabby chic' charming for some of us? Me? And, lastly, university neighborhoods sometimes have cheaper housing surrounding them. Look at UNO, Tulane, Loyola, etc

I rode through the area on Sunday when I was in town, and it looked pretty much the same to me as it did in '99, when I last lived in Lafayette. Save, of course, for the now-creepy former OLOL location. (It's second in the state only to the now-abandoned amusement park east of New Orleans, which was destroyed by Katrina, in terms of creepy abandoned places.)

I still think of it as a safe area until thoroughly proven otherwise...though the MS disappearance is certainly a dark chapter for the area.

Do you think it looks creepy b/c it's abandoned? It never looked that way before to me? Just now, with this. Maybe it's b/c I grew up in the FQ in Nola & went to school in the 9th ward. Brick looks modern to me!

OK there are some comments here about her possibly getting married and not wanting to be found. But her sister is saying it's not a hoax or anything, she's really missing, they filed a police report, and trying to find her. So.....

That is a lot of craziness. I could barely tolerate reading all the posts. For her sake, I hope she isn't missing. If she is then she will need someone besides these people to lead the search efforts. Not meaning her family but the people posting.

Ok so my media inquiries haven't brought forth many replies. KATC responded right away saying LE has told them there are no new developments. BIA says, despite repeated requests for info they have been given nothing (which doesn't surprise, BIA is probably last on their "let's give info to" list). NONE of the other media outlets even answered.

It makes me wonder sometimes if all these girls have large social media profiles and the profiles are open and not private. What I'm saying is could someone track these girls online that way and learn their habits, schools, schedules, maybe parents names to learn exactly where they live? I don't know, it seems far fetched, but I believe it could be done by someone who put a lot of time into researching info. Someone can pay different websites for peoples info right? Just a thought I keep having and JMO

The check-in feature on Facebook is what stalker's dreams are made of. My sister always "checks in" using Foursquare on Facebook wherever she is. All it takes is one stalker, her posting her location, and she has just made it super easy for someone to find her. So dangerous.

What is across from this car?

Long day and my brain is not working. Could MS have cut through here at some point?

I have a hard time understanding how people can be so careless posting all of this personal information on FB. I don't get it.

TerryBelle) OMG!!! yes it is! Lafayette police may not be aware of this, and it's good that you are so observant. They need to be informed of this.I'm not in town at the moment so please somebody ,,,call tipline!!

A few people here said that truck is a Dodge. Different truck.

I probably watched a few too many horror movies in my day, but...the sheer desolation of it is just unsettling.

Hopefully it doesn't become a magnet for blight and crime. I'd hate to see that neighborhood ruined because of the move to a new location.

I think a poster ruled it out earlier?!

if your figures are accurate (and i am NOT questioning them) - i don't understand why LE doesn't look for some free help to get this stuff up to date. for obvious reasons, they (LE) may not wish to use "regular" citizens off the street - but why not make use of all of the criminal justice and/or law students, who need internships? even people who volunteer their time at the different universities for various innocence projects? for that matter, homeland security offers many different grants to small (and large) towns - why not divert some of those monies? it seems to be a pretty vital project, at least to me.

Grreat idea until the defense teams get their hands on the fact that the person was not certified properly unfortunately.

It then brings into question the validity of the tests.

I think anyone that followed the Amanda Knox case and what Stephanoni did by not following protocols/procedures can see the dangers involved. Stephanoni made up her own protocols and then lied about it.

Shakes head...

It's believed to be a silver Dodge, not a white Chevy z71.
