The bed cover is CLEARLY gone once the truck goes to turn left on University from St. Landry....these are NOT the same...the truck w/ the bed cover / tinted windows is a Ford F250

Sorry, but one of the definitive signs of a Chevrolet/GMC is the squared wheel wells, or just straight across the top. These trucks have those. Not a Ford or any other brand.

And that P.I. has said the same. Don't know if we can post his website again.

Oh, and A.C.I., do you know that P.I. who has this theory, and have you talked to him?

Thanks

Yeah I've talked to him. He's....umm....interesting. Do a little google searching and you'll see what I mean

Maybe it is just me, but I do not believe any of those cases are connected...most of those girls were alone for a very short, unplanned amount of time, and it would be too much of a jump for me to believe that the same perp happened to be there as well. Other factors as well, in some of the cases. JMO

My personal opinion about this is that the bike was dumped soon after the perp learned that it was one of only three of its type in Lafayette, and that it stood out from the other two in that the seat had been upgraded.

I agree, I think the bike was put there to either get rid of it, or because it is a "high profile" place that gets attention when someone goes missing.

Time will tell if this guy is a novice, the condition of the bike and evidence gleaned from it will answer that question. The thing that keeps going around in my head is lack of evidence anywhere.

If you are a female cyclist with a backpack that gets hit, you fly and so does your back pack. If it is a "purse type" backpack it might come open. Nothing has been found.

If it's the zipper type all of the contents stay in, and it stays on your body.

So nothing flies around, making evidence easy to grab.

okay.....new line of thinking here for a bit maybe.....

this just happened about 3 1/2 hours north of Lafayette in Shreveport...

http://www.ktbs.com/news/Local-woma...ator/-/144844/15124794/-/10044ek/-/index.html

has this scenario been talked about? so far i havent seen it brought up but ill admit i had to skip a few pages while on vacation. also we had to drive over the whiskey bay exit twice during our vacation....once late at night and once during the day. there is absolutely NO shoulder as was already reported(except for maybe a foot and a half on either side of the road). also
I10 was still farily busy even at that late hour. whoever dumped the bike took a huge risk in being seen either driving down the exit ramp or coming up back onto the interstate in my opinion.

Thank God that woman did not get out of her car!

Thanks for the link.....I had not read about this before.

How long does it take to analyse a bike, out of curiosity? Would they have results by now and aren't releasing details, or would they likely still be working on it?

TIA.

Sure would be great if they could get prints off her car. Thank god she stayed put!

We all keep going around and around the the idea that this might be an oilfeild worker. Her Dad works in the Oilfield, maybe it is someone that knows the family personally.

Maybe he has met Mickey, and was attracted to her. He knew of her biking late at night and followed her till it was okay to approach her.

Maybe he offered her a ride, she accepted because he was familiar and he attacked and killed or hurt her.

Criticizing faked photos certainly DOES help find Mickey more, because it helps prevent more people from being misled than already have been. I think you are missing the point that kgeaux and I and others are making, which is why the argument is dragging out. At least for my part, I am not criticizing enhancement. I am vehemently criticizing active alteration.

We are criticizing the manipulation of the photos in which pixels were added by paintbrush - adding black pixels where there were white pixels. No form of acceptable enhancement changes white pixels to black. The black pixels of the "driver with dreadlocks" were purposely added to the original photo, where they never existed, and then no disclaimer was put loud and clear, right on the photo, using the "text" tool.

It makes this site look loony to anyone - LE - PI - family - others trying to help from afar - perusing it for clues, to have people discussing dreadlocks on a "driver" that was painted in by a poster on Photoshop, because all they have to do is go back to the originals - see that there is no black driver, and then conclude that WS is a joke.

Whoever did that may have been trying to help, but what was done is totally unacceptable, in my book, in that it has diverted people's energies into discussing what is basically a fraud. I urge everyone to save the original photos to hard drive, to help quickly shoot down the next altered photo being unknowingly accepted as fact, by posters who were misled.

Seriously, its starting to resemble topix at this point. I know all points of view are allowed, but the white truck speculation and photo embellishment is getting old. I know theres not much to talk about, but there is only one grainy picture of the truck and I'm pretty sure if it could be enhanced, colored, turned upside and inside out its already been done by folks that know how and what to do. If there was more to add LE enforcement would tell folks what to look for. No white, black or hispanic POIs mentioned, no dreadlocks or shirt colors, and no busted windshield. Just plain white Chevrolet Z71. Nothing more. Just my :twocents: and JMO

I think it was corrected that her dad is actually a Geologist and does not work in the oil field. Someone correct me if this is wrong.

I believe he is a geologist that works in the oilfield. Not all offshore workers are roustabouts.

JMO - There is a reason why selected still frames and not the entire contiguous video was released.

I think he is a paleontologist with a degree in geology.

His work is oilfield related. He has a local lab and sometimes goes to job sites, which can be offshore or on land.

I watched this video and one thing that struck me was that the dr. said that an SK may be the nicest person in the world, seemingly normal. But something triggers them and then they start to plan.

I believe it. I had an old boyfriend that I amazingly kept for one year.( not b/c of me,b/c of him explanation to follow) Years later, twenty to be exact we reconnected. He was charming and sweet. Come to find out that he had a string of women over that 20 years. All of them charmed by his smoothness and soft spoken demeanor.

As far as I know he's still single and still working his angle. His conquests all last about four months then he gets angry over something small and refuses contact.

Looking back, It would seem his type might be the type that could cruise by undetected for years. In my old friends case I do not think he would hurt anyone, but you never know.

And that is exactly what makes them so successful. Maybe MS met a charming bike riding man as well. Someone who would know how to remove handle bar grips, and do minimal damage to a bike.

If I remember correctly her father was offshore when she went missing. All oil companies use Geologist. It's all about the rock formation.
