Beside, didn't LE have a photo of tire tread marks backing into the water in the same spot where the bike was found?

They said they spotted tire tracks. But given the fact that perhaps a dozen or so vehicles drive on that makeshift gravel road on a weekly basis, I think it will be very difficult to ascertain that those tire tracks belong to a VOI.

I'm psychologically ready for something new to chew on. Aren't you?

I'm as ready as the next person for something new, but I don't think we're going to get it from any of these pictures. They've been picked over beyond belief... something new is needed, I think.

Does anyone know where the tire tracks they found were in comparison to where the bike was?

I do not believe that info -- and the forensic results from the bike were ever released, also non-existent and also very silent are the fishermen that found the bike.

For a town that prides itself on it's grapevine, it's scary silent.

If the cops are playing a chess game with the perp/perps they need to make a move.

what can I report? He was gone. He was hauling or hiding that's for sure. Even if I called my local police-- I do not live in La, there's a ton of white trucks here as well. With no plate numbers, I doubt anything of merit could be done.

Frustrating. damn white truck. I have offically banned them for sale ...

Yes, I am happy I have enough spidey sense and still am a racer at heart. I have a gun in my map bag, but TX law does not cover self defense from a bike, only from within your home- and I certainly was not taking him there so I can shoot him.

Sorry - I plead the heat getting my brain and not catching you weren't in Laffy. But am still glad you are safe.

My Opinion
I see Mickey On her bike, in a racing bike position just above the roof of the 'olds very clearly to me, and confirms she isn't under the truck by circle k. I think LE refers to this shot/footage when they say blurry footage further down St. Landry, but can't clarify. I do not think she is further down the sidewalk. Where you zoomed in. That to me looks like the trunk of a car that resembles the daytime google daytime shot of that apt complex. The hooptie looks like it's brake lights are on, and a tad too far to the left as if the driver is trying to get closer to her.

MOO: The image farther to the right that Waiting refers to seems a bit out of proportion and too large to be petite Mickey and the bike image seems small... almost like a child's bike.

This is what I see: MS in a racing stance.

After looking at Chicken't photo's of his trip to WB it does not seem like a vehicle could have driven down to where the bike is, maybe several yards away. I am not sure. Anyone know how far the tracks were from the bike? Chicken believes (I think) that someone walked down with the bike, climbed on one of the bridge supports, walked a few feet and tossed the bike.

I do not agree. I have been over WB too many times to count. Stopping right there to take a bike out of the truck is risking death. It is narrow and there very little room to pull over. Even if you were ballsy enough to try it, you would most certainly get noticed as that bridge is heavily driven day and night.

I have always thought the perp took the exit and drove right on up to his dumping spot. If done by cover of night, that's a ballsy move too. It be scary out there. ;) This brings me to the thought that this was a tough person, who was bent on getting rid of the bike and doing at the right time, and hopefully in the right place so that it would not be found.

Unfortunately for him.. Mickey has angels. I hope they are looking over her and return her soon.

I am sorry. I just assumed the bike was found by fishermen fishing from the bank. Was it fishermen in a boat that found the bike?

If you call the Lafayette police and tell them your story, they have a clue to go on. Your location in Texas plus the possible Fleur de Lis could be just the clue they need. It's worth a shot (I mean that figuratively, of course!).

I'm sure that both of those areas are just the backs of cars parked in the apartment building parking lot.

On the unzoomed picture you can tell they are behind the strip of grass/hedge, so they are in the parking lot. And you can make out the outlines of the cars. The ends of the cars are illuminated by the street lights so they stand out.

I wish Chicken Fried was here, he seems to know the most about the bike and fishermen. Have you seen Chicken's photo essay? I will try to find a link.

That couldn't be a DWT right there in the lot? CHEVY, white, 4 door? good thing it has black trim, cause DWTiq doesn't have black trim along the door, right?

So do I except I see the just the top curve of the front wheel further forward, above the roof where it should be. But, yes to everything else.

What you have marked as frame support I see back tire, and Front wheel I see as the frame support..

WoW. That is scary. Trust your instincts. Do you think he pulled over to let the car pass him b/c he noticed a female biker?

At first I thought nothing of it, there's a local church there so I thought he was stopping by the church. A lot of people park in the street when services are held.

YET-

He stopped and looked right at me so I would assume yes.

I've ridden in the road a long time, I have never ever had anyone stop like that. And yes, I wear Tons of Hot pink so that I can be seen. Time to change that.

Once he noticed me looking at him and stopped he left, the street is a straight shot for about another mile. I can see for a half a mile once I turn around, He was gone.

I keep going back to why we haven't heard anything from or about the fisherman who found the bike. With the cajunnet being as active as it is, you would think someone would have spilled something by now. O
On that same note, I think that if LE and MSM would be more vocal about the case there might be more that comes out either from the perp/s or cajunnet. It would make sense that if LE drops a few hints that maybe they know something, the perp/s might get nervous and start doing out of the ordinary things or say something to someone who would drop a dime on them.

Random question here.

Do we have a picture of Mickey with straight hair?

I can't find the link to Chicken's photos. He did a good job of explaining the area, walked down to the water and explained his theory.

Anyone know that link?
