I made the "writing on the wall" comment and also theorized that an LSU student is the perp. Just my opinions. Sorry my wording disturbed some of you. I served a nice little timeout because of my previous posting. Lesson learned.

I haven't checked up on this case for nearly two weeks or so and there still seems to be no progress (that we have been made aware of) since the end of May. Actual people who claim they're psychics, channelers, and people who can talk to the deceased on another forum have spewed so many of their "visions" and "messages" out there on what they have picked up and yet nothing has come to fruition. It makes me question their validness. I just find myself annoyed how it's been a month, and so many people have spent so much time dedicated to this case...looking for Mickey, helping out in anyway they can, praying, and still nothing has come out of this. :|

And then I see all these other missing person cases on this forum that have gone cold (the majority seem to have gone cold with no new information) and it makes me feel really sad. It just never ends does it? How is it that these perps are able to outsmart us all and get away with their crimes. It's maddening.

RE: It just never ends does it?

"Manlet, that is why it is referred too as the Silent Epidemic"..

'I've been attending a national missing person conference for the past three years. Many, if not most of the attendees are families of the missing/murdered. The families attending the conference grows much larger each year. Next year it will be held at a different location due to the rapidly expanding number of victim's families'.

RE: How is that these perps are able to outsmart us all and get away with their crimes.

'Stranger on stranger crimes by sexual predators & psychopathic serial killers are the most difficult to solve by investigators. These recidivist predators seem to be more transient and are multipling in numbers'.

They hide behind their evil masks of normalcy remaining stealth for years or even decades. Predators/SKs, do not fit a unique mold and come from all walks of society. While some are quite intelligent and articulate, others are as dumb as a rock, yet cagey, calculating, and deflective.
Lacking a conscience, or normal human emotions, their remorse and guilt is redirected by placing the blame of their evil sadistical acts on their random victims.

Due to their prior life experiences, they have a resentment and hatred towards society, love game playing, control, and outsmarting investigators, while terrorizing communities.

Imo, identifying and capturing these predators/SKs in a timely manner is critical. All available resources must be used by investigators to accomplish this goal.

"As John Walsh and AMW has proven, time & time again, the most valuable tool for LE in locating recidivist violent felons and solving abduction/missing persons cases is the aware American public"!

My take on the posts.

I do not believe there is any validity and/or connection to the Pac Man game.

It is an interesting scenerio.

My concern is not so much the posts as it is the very bizarre events which surround this case. First you have BW's bike stole yet returned in 3 hours by an employee of the Chief Financial Officer for the LPD. I sincerely scratch my head over what employee this would be as this is a position in which an individual is hired thus he is an employee for the City. I don't feel I need to go through the various things that have happened in this case as I feel I have been very vocal regarding the various episodes.

The cone of silence from LPD is deafening and I have to ask myself why.

Why do a night time dive, have the police chief arrive, only to state they found wood.

I as well was very careful to whom I turned this information over to after being called out on this board by an individual to whom I never gave information to (of a separate nature) and have yet to receive an apology.

I value my integrity.

With that said I enjoy reading the various perspectives which in turn help me see different perspectives. I find the different perspectives invaluable in any case whether I agree with them or not.

Keep sleuthing everyone as Mickey needs to find her way home.

ETA For those that did ask I have submitted them to the people I felt would determine whether there was any merit to them or not and I thank you all but I will not be sending them to anyone else. I hope that you can all understand my reasoning for this.

TY, Allusonz..
Yes many, if not most missing person's cases are solved due to a tip from an aware citizen. The American public is analogous to a security camera across the US & beyond..

Here's an interesting angle.

What if it is a city employee?

It would be very easy for this person to get information from LE. They would know what LE is looking for, which in my strong opinion, isn't the DWT. They'd know where LE is looking as well.

They'd basically be an insider.

FYI:
http://www.cnn.com/2012/06/20/tech/louisiana-sex-offenders-social-media/index.html?hpt=hp_c1

(CNN) -- A new Louisiana law requires sex offenders and child predators to state their criminal status on their Facebook or other social networking page, with the law's author saying the bill is the first of its kind in the nation.

State Rep Thompson, an attorney and a father of a 13-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son, said he hopes other states will follow Louisiana.

I’ve been reading Mickey’s WS threads for quite awhile, now. I’m amazed at the large number of locals working on bringing her home! Keep up the good work LA team! Same for all the other Web Sleuthers, too!

Just like most everyone else, I’ve been discouraged with little to no news from LE and MSM about Mickey’s case; however, having said that…while we Web Sleuthers are free to write down all the theories we can imagine, LE cannot discuss their theories, only hard facts that will inform the public while keeping the integrity of the case in tact. It can be a fine balancing act especially when the LPD already seems to be under scrutiny.

It’s hard for us to put the puzzle pieces together without more concrete facts especially (for me) whether the DWT is involved or not? If it is…those trucks are quite expensive so it would be owned by someone with a good paying job unless it was a stolen vehicle. I’m not so sure that RSOs get “good” paying jobs all that easy?! And are students likely to drive a truck like that (unless it‘s their parents)?….I wouldn’t think that would be their first choice for transportation (with the cost of gas, etc)…just saying. Trucks, on the other hand, are driven by a lot of middle-age and older men (for whatever reason), construction workers, farmers, and horse people, etc.!!

The jury still is out, for me, on whether it was a deliberate abduction or accident and consequent abduction. And whether just one person or more were involved. However, my gut instinct says lone, middle-age male that is a sexual pervert who saw her, and selfishly decided to “grab” her. I think he was a stranger to Mickey; although, he may have seen her around before and had his eye on her (as awful as that sounds)! At that hour of the night, he may have been high on alcohol and/or drugs (I’m guessing alcohol since the bars close around 2:00 AM in most places).

Also, when her bike was located, my first thought was that the location was probably a ruse to throw off the LE as to where Mickey was, but now I’m somewhat leaning towards her being put in the water close to where her bike was found. I also thought about the person tossing the bike off the bridge on his way out of the immediate area while headed to either a job or a residence. Having said that I’ve also wondered., like several others, if the perp lives right in the area Mickey disappeared from. Lots of questions with few solid answers….yet, at least!

Hoping with all the searches, tips, investigations and volunteers trying to figure out what happened, answers will be forthcoming real soon!

Not too high up, but not very low. If that helps. LOL I would think adult, or very tall child. Maybe I can get a full picture tomorrow.

It's not a child. My 20 year old just described it to me in detail, he plays games but I would not call him a gamer. He told me kids at his sister's school could describe it because it is an iconic game. He did remind me that young kids are not usually out late at night when grafitti is done.

And Ms. Pacman has had a life in the millenium, thanks to Scrubs, The Simpsons, Friends, etc. Perhaps there were a few 'old games' purchased am sure it is a collector's item now, or perhaps not so expensive, so am not sure if Pacman really puts an age on the 'tagger.'

Right, 20 year old said younger kids/adults are the type to typically vandalize things. He said because of Pac-Mans place in gaming, everyone knows about it. Even his 11 yr old sister.

I am so glad everyone local is looking into this.

Those bizarre posts just didn't sit right to me and even if we're barking up the wrong tree, we are still trying to leave no stone unturned.

Now, living in Ohio, I am in no way familiar with that area....how close to the drainage hole is that wall??

A mile or two from where Mickey was last seen.

Reminds me of the public service anouncement during the pac man era, 'It is 11 O'Clock PM' - "Do you know where your Kids are"?

Hello, I just wanted to add about the pac man photo, if pac man would eat the ghost it would not be game over. pac man would move on to next level.

I wonder if BW noticed when the pacman drawing first appeared?

If he rides around his neighborhood, and I would think he does then yes. Anyone here personally know him? If so, can you ask him.

I can't believe that information has been non existent for so long that it's now being resorted to trying to explain inner meaning to wall graffiti.

That's when you know when a case has grinded to a halt (as far as information/evidence). When you start looking at things so far out of left field to try to make connections.

  • #1,178
I have a hard time imagining a perp who abducted a girl and did who knows what would be out 'tagging' walls. If caught he'd be charged with vandalism. For someone who left no evidence that we know of that'd be pretty stupid! BUT crazier things have happened!

OT: crazy new article on brittney wood thread!

I think it might have been done right before. That is why we need to try to figure out when It was done.

'What brings you to these conclusions, JoCoKSEyes'?

Are you referring to facebook walls/photos, etc?

The poster who made the "writing on the wall" statement, also said the perp was an LSU student.

Really? That would make a heck of a lot of sense. Maybe someone who came to Lafayette to hang out frequently?

I also went to BR but okay...
