I hate to have to even imagine the scenario, but it would not take much to get Mickey and the bike in under a minute. Clip the back of the bike with the car or truck fender; the bike and rider go down; ease past and be out the door quickly. Bike in back (if a pickup truck), dazed rider in front. Anyone who would do this kind of thing will have a weapon to guarantee captive does not escape.

I thought the enhanced photos showed all of the trucks had tailgates intact and up, so the missing/lowered tailgate isn't an issue anyway. Right?

All of the above although not an accusation. Just getting a little tmi imo.
That said, I'm not aware that all tailgates have been confirmed as having been in the upright position in the pictures of the truck/s.
Did I miss something?

I'll throw out a little theory here. Let's say the perp was not fully aware of the topography of the Whiskey Bay area, though aware it was remote. The perp may have assumed that he was throwing it into deep water - if it was dark, he wouldn't have been able to see. He May have just decided to dump it, got to the bridge, saw there was no shoulder, then passed up the exit, then dumped it as soon as he could pull over. He may have been going on a general awareness of its remoteness, but not intentionally trying to send any sort of signal.

Bet he thought it would go into deep water and not be found. Otherwise, he would have thrown it over the LEFT rail, not the right.

I'm saying it must have been the right rail, because that's the only place you can dump a bike in that area and have it partially submerged.

The only thing that gets me - assuming it is right after he abducted her and it is only one person that abducted her - is that while he is dumping the bike how does he have a good control over Mickey? Surely he can't dump the bike over the bridge and be able to watch her at the same time!

After following the Mickey Facebook page, and the family & friends denying facts that were already confirmed, I am not convinced there was damage to Mickey's bike like her mom stated. I don't blame the family at all for how they're releasing information or why, but I can see why the family would make untrue or exaggerated claims as to the condition of the bike, hoping it will bring them closer to Mickey. They may be trying to convince her abductor(s) that they believe it was simply an accident that got out of hand, so release her and you will be fine...

Their objective is to say or do anything that will get Mickey back, and I certainly don't blame them.

And you do not even have to bump someone with a car to get them off their bike. Al you really need to do is GRAB THEM or SHOVE THEM. It is actually very simple to do. I was amazed to see how easy it was when I saw a video fo some bike thieves who were stealing expensive mountain bikes right out from under riders. Bicyclists are incredibly vulnerable to someone walking by them.

All you need to do is give them a good hard forceful shove at their shoulders and they will almost always tip over.

lol, running all the ones I have. The ceiling fan in the bedroom came loose last night from being run so much and was hanging by one screw this morning. I have too many projects.

Could be she was was riding too close to the camera in order for it to capture her image or, she was forced into or willingly entered a white truck.

Can we rule out that they did get something on tape? Maybe they chose to release the ambiguous truck / car photos so as not to spook the suspect(s) into doing something rash. Am I reaching here?

Well, you could send someone from Lafayette out to look at my Lincoln and F-100 to make sure they're not a Cadillac and rich new 4-dr truck, I suppose.

I suppose the perp could be sitting at home trolling threads. That would suck. you never know, in this modern world of communication.
