You are going to be soooooo hot.

Hope youre not fond of your sweat evaporating like its supposed to. :D
Humidity here is a *****.

You should visit Lafayette while youre in. Its like a two and a half hour drive. NOLA is fun and all, but you dont get a true since of Louisiana until you visit some other (and smaller) towns. Every single city is very different with very different communities. Every city in LA really has its on soul.

I was looking for the Cadillac as well on my drive, and didn't see anything remotely comparable to it.

It's going to be on the north side, or in Baton Rouge or New Orleans. they need to get the state police on finding that thing, PRONTO!

IMO, everyone needs to "recalibrate" their thinking to the present day, and give consideration to the trafficking angle, because, as I've documented in other threads throughout this forum, there are numerous cases where this has happened.

  • #324
I didn't mention it because I didn't see a single caddy like that today--I even took the Thruway through the North Side instead of the interstate in hopes of seeing it.

No -no! I meant that Nancy Grace showed the thing 25 times and didn't say one word about it! Poor reporting on her part!

If the caddy isn't involved, do you think maybe they're scared to come forward because they saw what happened to Mickey and don't want the perp to find them too? Maybe media needs to reassure that they are just wanted for questioning and will not be exposed to the public.

Mod Note: Many thanks to those posting photos. They're very helpful and much appreciated. Just remember that images over 1,000 px wide will blow out the margins. If you have larger photos to share, please post them as attachments. In the attachment window, you can upload an image file directly from your computer or with a link. (Access by clicking the paperclip icon in the edit box.) The photo will show as a thumbnail in your post, and when clicked, will open to full size in a new window or tab. If you need any help with posting, mods will be happy to assist you. :tyou:

Don't know. Hope not! I do know that aside from y'all, no one is looking for it. It's all, WHITE TRUCK WHITE TRUCK WHITE TRUCK. That's a needle in a haystack! Yes, find the white truck, but the Caddy was the only other car on that road when the truck turned around, and it's crucial to interview the driver.

11:30 am....based on where they live, what school district they'd be in accordingly and the lafayette parish school board website.

Thank You.

Nancy asked about the delay in calling LE about Mickey's absence. Mickey's dad said that everybody was just hoping that she would turn up.

There are 5 public high schools in Lafayette. Based on where Mickey was traveling to, the school they are zoned for would have been at 11:30 am, but it is possible that the brother attended one of the other schools because they have a 'school of choice' system here that gives them specialized training outside of their normal school zone. Private school graduations were on different days.

But you could just look on his FB and see he went to Acadiana High.

I understand.

Woof I just wanted to say you have and are doing such a great job "manning this ship"! Honestly, you manage to welcome all the new members, keep things polite and at the same time with decorum point out possible TOS infractions and comment like usual with very thought provoking posts.

Thanks again!

I dont think so. Most of the people around here who would be out that late at night driving that type of vehicle would jump on a chance for 25k real quick

These types of vehicles are VERY common in my area and in Louisiana. For instance, if you were to survey any parking lot in the area, I'd say at least 80% of vehicles are pickup trucks.

Hey, I drive one. And I'm a girl! (not white though, red :) )

I strongly believe LE quit searchingtrue basin so quickly for a good reason. They know plenty that we don't. I believe they were led in another direction. If not they would still be searching. I'm sure of it. They search longer for drunks that fall off of boats and drown. And did anyone else catch the guy on NG saying the bike was found in tall grass not the water?

Thank you.

I think things are getting back to normal (thank God bessie's around!) so I can sink back into my usual quagmire, attempting against all odds to figure out what happened in the course of any particular unsolved crime.

With all due respect, most don't abduct women for money - i think that is rarely the motive. This is my opinion, of course and I haven't done any research on statistics, but I happen to think that many times when women are abducted the motive is generally geared to sex and power, not money. More often than not the perps have their way with the women and then they strangle or murder them in some fashion. I guess I'm one of the few here that thinks she may no longer be alive. I hate to say that and I know many don't agree, but with her bike being found in that location I feel that her body could have been dumped their as well, and knowing what lives in that swamp, I don't think it would ever be located. As I said this is just my opinion.

Human trafficking....

Evident by the fact that everyone I question tells me every crime them, their friend and their mom's have commited hoping they have the info that gets them the money.

Unless they have a reason to avoid LE (not pertaining to the case).

Is the chrome the only aftermarket possibility? And could it be at all tinted?

When the photo was released, I believe some people on one of the earlier threads thought they saw bed rails along the sides. That was not as clear to me as the off-color gas-cap cover. Not sure if it is chrome, but it definitely does not look white. I haven't noticed one in town since then.
