What would be the good reason for withholding more evidence from the public?

In the third picture above it looks like THREE vehicles to me. The white truck; something on the corner and something behind the trees further behind that getting ready to turn onto st landry (or just passing it). 3 cars!!!

I agree. I think it was planned and more than one perp.

If they're onto someone, they have to be careful not to reveal too much. They may have a person of interest and following them like they did in the Sierra LaMar case. The public had no idea until the suspect was arrested and charged.

I do not think she would have gone back to artmosphere. At the circle K pic, I do not even see any fright in her body language. she seems at ease in stride on her bike; gaining momentum for a long ride down st landry to a desolate area at the end. Some people have speculated she would turn east on st mary instead of going to coliseum drive and getting on the bike path. East St mary would have been more lit and she would go through campus. Lots of safety and police activity around there too. I think something happened near coliseum road and cajundome blvd. Why do we not have times on 3 critical pictures?

The photo where she is seen head on is on Versailles Blvd going to St John in front of a big nice church; well lit. The area behind it is NOT GOOD; someone could have seen her on St John and started following her. The people who live behind St John are cemetary workers; often with criminal records. gardnerers, laborers. I have walked myself through the cemetary at dusk and met some very very very weird people working on those grounds. I am actually surprised that are looking for a white male 50-60; the laborers appearing to live in that area are AA.

I personally would never walk or bike down ST JOHN alone. It is a borderline bad area. MS mother has said (after the bike was found) that they believe it was an accident. I think this maybe is to play down the severity of the case; but her bike must have been damaged for her to say that. IF she is alive, they are appealing for her to gently be released into public somewhere.

I believe MS mom kept her own last name. all childrens name are shunik.

I agree with you. On St John street, if she has ridden there many times before - she would have been noticed. White woman do not frequent that area often; it is squalor labor quarters. with people who should be on probation or parole. I would not have taken that route myself; I would have gone up congress as BW suggested she originally did at parc sans soui.

The latter time is because they know when her phone was cut off. probably before 3:30am.

On Versailles is a CHURCH. Well lit and probably with security cameras everywhere. I am sure they keep tabs on the laborers that do the lawns. The whole area from where Mickey was filmed is Catholic church property.

What flyers are you printing that have cars on them? I went out for three days with just her pics and reward money on flyers. If you have a link and can share your flyers I will happily go back to Versailles and ST JOHN In daylight and post more.

I was wondering why in the world they capped it at 25k?

If she turned St Mary towards campus there is a bar at the end of that road that stays open all night and frequented by students. serves alligator balls and tea and cheesecake and cookies. right before you get to pinhook on the left on st mary. forget the name of it. It is next to a tshirt printing shop.

The poster named chickenfried made the flyers with the car on them. I believe he has taken them quite a few places. Might confer with him and see where they need to go.

That cemetery is eery. I live near here. I would not be surprised at all to hear that maybe the May 9 and this incident are related. NOTHING GOOD Happens in back of that cemetery. And Artmosphere, that is the borderline area for me; the border between the labor force and the nicer areas of town. I would not be surprised if evil was lurking there.

would submerged water really erase evidence like fingerprints etc? That makes it seem even more likely it was planned.

NO. When she left BW house it was a split second decision; left or right on parkside. She probably had not been on this route in a while and made a quick decision. People keep calling her an "avid biker'; I biked across america one year and I had to get more gears the harder it got. I cannot imagine a very serious biker having a fixed gear bicycle. I think she had the bicycle for riding around town and it did not have clips on pedals so that she could on and off more easily; but nothing leads me to believe she could have sprinted away from a mess quickly.

If you live in the area, I will go on a stakeout with you! I called in to the tipline that I saw a white truck in front of the apts between versailles and university (sorta similar bad apts like on st landry).

at the parc sans soui, he said her usual route was rt Parkside, left congress, left st mary to bike path. I remember thinking that was odd.

I haven't really been able to keep up with Mickey's swiftly moving threads, but I do check in every day and think of her constantly.

I want to welcome all the new members from the Lafayette area who joined Websleuths to help Mickey. I am amazed and touched by the outpouring of love from her community - I've gotten teary-eyed a few times over it, LOL. I've never seen anything like it.

I would be absolutely proud and honored to be a part of your community; you really look out for your own. Not to mention, y'all are darn fine sleuthers!! I hope some or all of you stick around after we find Mickey, because we could use your help on other cases. There will always be someone who needs our help.

Thank you again, and :welcome:

Keep up the good work, and let's bring Mickey HOME!
