I've heard live briefings from the moon astronauts that were clearer than this coverage.

Does that vehicle frequent that particular area where Mickey went missing? There are a lot of white trucks. We need the story behind the truck. Give us that information.

The other vehicle with rear damage is very obvious. Give us specific information on the vehicles you find.

From presser, the it froze, I'm waiting for it to come back:

the rear tire on the bike was damaged, the only visible damage. The rim was bent with the tire dislodged from the rim itself. We sent the bike along with other evidence to LSP crime lab. It's being examined by professionals.

We do not know that it was in fact struck by a vehicle, so that's why we're sending it to police to look at it, examine it and give us the best scenario.

Question whether any blood or tissue was found on the bike.

Found the handgrips but won't confirm whether they were on the handlebars or not.

Shunick bike was submerged in water

(Sorry, guys, the audio is horrible--it keeps cutting out so I'm missing a lot of what's being said.)

Q: can't hear
A: If you call in the info, be very specific about the circumstances around the vehicle
The vehicle with the rear quarter panel damage is very obvious. Be very specific in the information you provide about the vehicle. We are following up literally thousands of leads right now and we have to prioritize.

Q:
A: We spent a lot of time at WB, we feel we've searched that area enough and we feel comfortable we didn't leave evidence out there. Sherrif dept. will continue to keep their eyes out there.
Now we are focusing on the last sighting of Mickey on ST. Landry

  • #332
Says last sighting of Mickey was on St Landry so they are concentrating there...makes me think they didn't see her at the second St Landry camera.

  • #333
They don't think the bike was thrown from the bridge

  • #334
Bike was submerged right off the bank into the basin.

  • #335
Bike itself was submerged in the water.

  • #336
We can only believe that the bike was dumped there the morning she went missing, but we may have a better idea after forensics looks at it. (audio stops again!!)

  • #337
I read it all, many thanks to you for doing that. I've been taught to look at the distance in pictures that LE posts, and what I saw, was the same things that you saw, now what about this other truck? What is your take?

this is the same truck... it turned left at circle k onto university (fact) at least a fact that it was in the lane to turn left in the pic...
university camera WILL have this pic... (FACT) based on the given known framerate unless it is motion sensing but then yields the same results.

it looks different but is the same truck

so this truck in in a possible 5 of the 6 pics we have

peace

Oh dear...no closer to finding Mickey.
(JMO-they did not say this.)

  • #339
Anyone think dropping the bike from a bridge would dislodge the tire and bend the rim? I'm just not sure. My gut feeling: DUI accident, with cover up.

  • #340
They don't believe the bike was tossed off the bridge.
