The sonar was done and nothing was found.
Doesn't believe the LS case is connected.

Car has bondo in rear right quarter panel, very obvious, should be able to be spotted by public.
The truck with the cover on the bed, GMC or Chevrolet came from direction which MS had ridden.

I am disappointed that they keep saying that's a '90s GM vehicle.

It is NOT!

Tip o' the hat to LPD for keeping public informed.

We've probably reviewed over 50 pieces of video from different locations. This was early in the investigation when we thought her route was on Congress street. If you have a video camera near Landry or St Mary, we want you to review that video to give more information about the direction MS was travelling.

Here's what I got...ignore typos please:

Rear tire damaged…only visible damage. Rim was bent, tire dislodged from rim. Bike sent with other evidence sent to the crime lab to be processed. Didn’t want to release because they don’t know if the damage came from a wreck or when it was put under the bridge. Experts will look and examine it. Bike is a priority.

Tips for vehicles: haven’t identified vehicle or person operating vehicle. Just a POI not a suspect. Following up leads on vehicles. More leads not disclosing.
Bloomindale: Do not think that the cases are related.
Consider where you saw the vehicle when you call in tips. Does that vehicle frequent the area where it was seen on camera? Have the story behind the truck. The vehicle with the damage is obvious. Should be easy to find but be specific.
Not releasing if the handgrips were on the bike.
Felt like they searched the area near whiskey bay enough= the sheriffs there will continue to search the area. Sonar and dragging has been done; nothing found.
The bike WAS in the water right off of the bank into the Atchafalaya. Don’t believe it was thrown from bridge; think that it was dumped beneath the bridge. Believe the bike was dumped there since the morning she was missing, unsure until forensics comes back.
Stuff about the runaway from Abbeville. No potential connected cases.
Checking out RSO’s in the area, making contact with all of them.
No other footage of Mickey on camera.
Two different white trucks.
FBI; Staties; all local sheriffs; LPD; University Police.
Reviewed over 50 pieces of video; still want people to review the video to see if she is tape.
No briefing until further notice.

did they search within those parking garage structures nearby and through the abandoned hospital? You'd be surprised how many people take residence in abandoned buildings or what possibly could go down in them without anyone knowing..

My guess is that they are still looking for any evidence that she turned off St Landry and crossed over St Mary on a different street.

Thursday thru Monday, the last search team was sent out anywhere from 3:30 to 4. The time they returned depended on the size of the area to be searched. 2-3 hours was the average time from when they departed to when they returned. Many of the teams ended up with only half of their members for various reasons. The heat, trying to search without proper clothing, had to pickup their kids, etc.

Stopping at 3 doesn't mean bad news necessarily. Could be not enough people, the heat, the areas to be searched were larger, out of places to search, etc. Maybe they just want to stop and regroup, give people a chance to have a longer break.

No, it's not just postponed for the day, it's suspended indefinitely.

People all who know that area, or have google earth, we need to find where this area is, where this truck was parked.

That area is in front of Louisiana Digital, 817 West University.... The cemetary associated with St John's Cathedral is visible there.

I think so too. You (DUI driver) wouldn't need to be completely wasted to have the desire to hide this. You can be DUI after just a couple drinks; the consequences for killing someone can be severe (however, NOT severe enough imo) and could easily lead someone to cover this up.

I agree. In my opinion a first DUI should result in removal of the license and vehicle placed up for auction, no matter how many liens there are on it

ETA: DUI with killing of another: death penalty. I think they take perp out to a field in front of a firing squad in Germany for DUI with killing of another!

That truck in on University Ave headed north toward I-10. It's in front of the cemetery. Was caught on a business surveillance camera....

All that was searched early on.
