this Jane Doe had a tattoo of Ananias which, although it is biblical, she had it above her lower back. I firmly believe this Jane Doe was somehow associated maybe intimately with this person who passed away.


Ananias King, Jr. passed away on Monday, September 29, 2003. He worked with a rehab centre, and a local Hospital and other locations in New Orleans.

Seems a pretty unique sounding tattoo. Ananias is a biblical figure from the New Testament. Could this Doe have been 'saved' and got a tattoo to mark that event?

Oh, wow, good find. I didn't know that Ananias was a name still in use. A memorial tattoo makes sense.

I have sent this tip to New Orleans Law Enforcement and to the Medical Examiner's office.

I was also entertaining the possibility that it might have been some form of 'cover-up' where the original might have been saucy, but it specifies fine script, so that's unlikely. I think the memorial tattoo is far more likely. I just had no idea people were still named Ananias. You learn something new every day!

I think Texas equusearch has to be asked by LE or family. I think othram has to just get the OK by law enforcement to accept the help. Hopefully they will correct me, if I'm wrong about that.

The New Orleans Coroner's Office said they will not accept any tips with regards to who she might be related or associated with and they are only going to take in a tip that tells them the exact name of this Jane Doe. I asked wouldn't a possible association or connection to someone be a good investigation point and the woman on the phone said no and ended the call. I have never heard of this happening before.

It was actually really disheartening to hear. Why would this be the case?

Well. The nopd is in a heap of trouble. Most of the good ones quit, due to really bad workplace environment. They are understaffed and over crimed. If you call with a robbery, they tell you no one is coming. You pretty much have to have a murder to get response, at this point. It's horrible and the reason I try not to go to Orleans Parish, at this point.

She was found in a trench. Maybe water helped keep some parts of her body moist?
