The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a man reported missing after he left a New Orleans East nursing home.

According to NOPD, on Sunday Norman Taylor left the facility in the 4500 block of General Meyer Avenue against medical restrictions.

Taylor is described as standing about 6’1” and weighing about 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

NOPD looking for missing Algiers nursing home resident



The NOPD is looking for a missing 68-year-old man missing from an Algiers nursing home.

Norman Taylor left the nursing home against doctors advice in the 4500 block of General Meyer Avenue around 7:45 p.m. on December 9 and hasn’t been seen or heard from since, according to the NOPD.

Missing Person Reported to Fourth District Detectives


NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is seeking to locate an adult male reported as missing.



On Sunday, December 09, 2018 at approximately 7:45 p.m., Norman Taylor (DOB: 10-21-1950) reportedly left a nursing home in the 4500 block of General Meyer Avenue against medical restrictions.



Taylor is described as a black male standing about 6’1” and weighing about 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
