NOPD searching for teen reported missing from New Orleans East

The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a teen reported missing from New Orleans East.

Police are searching for 14-year-old Kyoko Duke.

Duke was last seen around 10:25 a.m. Saturday at her home in the 11000 block of Winrock Drive. She left a note saying she would be at school and will be returning home at a later date.

Me too. A couple months ago, I turned 15, close to her age, and some kids, at least in my school, do talk that way, so I really hope she's not being serious. I just hope in the end, she is brought home, safe and sound.

Why, thank you so much! I've always wanted to help out in crimes and situations like this, and I truly hope this girl is found. I feel sorry not only for her, but for her family as well. Nothing is worse to a parent than losing your own child.

Mardi Gras last weeks in NOLA. I loved celebrating Mardi Gras in PA when it was one day and bars did special things I think there was a parade on South St in Philly. It loses some of its charm when you can't get to your trash can because people are blocking your door. It's different for locals. I could be wrong. She is also 14. It does bring tourists, good for businesses but they are people often with no connect to the city or state. NOLA attracts business conferences too. I hope she is with friends and safe.

A new phone if her's is being tracked or a friends. If she posted it, she could be using someone else's wifi, or any place it is offered for free. Hopefully someone else didn't post it.
