Deputies arrested a 20-year old Mississippi man for the murder of a 22-month old girl he was babysitting at the time.

Initially, Roberts told authorities the baby fell off a couch and hit her head, but St. Tammany Coroner Dr. Peter Galvan said Rubie suffered "major trauma that could not have been caused by a fall."

Yup, another she fell of the couch, I bet the cops have never heard that one! Another great boyfriend left with the baby.

He was babysitting the child and in his own words was 'having a bad day,'" Sheriff Strain explained. "The child used the bathroom on herself and he basically attacked her at that point, picking her up by the feet and slamming her head against the floor repeatedly."

RIP Rubie, sweet angel!

From August 2011:

Andrew Roberts stood motionless, his shaking hands hidden behind his back, as he learned Wednesday that he will live the rest of his life in prison for beating a baby to death.

A St. Tammany jury did not believe any of the many tales he offered for how 22-month-old Rubie Boland ended up bruised and bleeding from the brain in the 20-minute time-span she was alone with him. The jury convicted Roberts, 21, of second-degree murder, which carries a mandatory life sentence.
