He was at a gas station near Louisiana Downs, which is in the 8000 block of East Texas Street in Bossier City, about 8:30 p.m. Friday.

I find the wording by SO a bit confusing, is it still to be confirmed or is it him? The family seems to have been informed.

What is the appropriated way to relay to you things that I have heard that are not from official sources (cannot be linked)? I don't want to step wrong here. May I put it as rumor?

Also, there is confusion in that wording due to him being from Benton, LA and then coincidentally (possibily) being found in Benton, MS which is in Yazoo County.

Treading carefully here, as my information should be considered RUMOR or hearsay since it does come from social media comments by people claiming to be family. It has not been verified. It would seem that the implication was that the family was on scene looking for him and either found him or were present when he was found due to the phone and/or SUV being located there. This could account for the confusion in the article linked above. I have not seen any local media confirming the identity.

I hope I have shared this within the TOS.

They have identified Corey. So sad. There is more to this story and they have no idea why he was in this area.

"Investigators suspect the victim to be Shawn "Corey" King of Benton, Louisiana. They say that King wrecked and abandoned his SUV on Highway 16 on August 3rd, a short distance from where his body was found.

"It appears that he may have went to sleep and drove off the road. There were no skid marks no correction marks or anything," said Yazoo County Investigator Terry Gann. "He struck a tree. The damage to the vehicle, he might have been a little hurt but not seriously I wouldn't think."

Body found in Yazoo Co. confirmed to be missing Louisiana man
