LA: "the knowledge/means to facilitate the answers"

I think that CA should have left that little story out of her eulogy.

and the part about being so super-ecstatic about finding out casey was pregnant with a 'mistake'. please. we all know better than that.

sorry, that was o/t. this is about lee's comments, not cindy's. but anyway, yeah.

I said before this memorial that I was baffled as to why a family who had effectively flipped off "the public" from the start of this saga, suddenly wanted to invite "the public" to a memorial. Admittedly "the public" was at times extremely intrusive and frightening, i.e. the drunken rednecks on the lawn at night, so I would have expected and applauded a small, private, family and close friends only memorial for Caylee.

I am no longer baffled. The messages to Casey were, imo, the reason for the public rather than private memorial. That and an image improvement opportunity for the family for the benefit of the CMAF, aka, imo, the family business.

OMG this cracked me up I don't know who you are but I Love your humor..

My humor has been called "dark" and "dry" and worse at times, but it serves me well. It counterbalances my anger at perpetrators and suits me far better than maudlin sentiment. To each his own way.

I just saw despair---true despair, and he wants the gossip to stop.JMHO

Ok, so why didn't he just say he wants the gossip to stop?

Because that would be poor form at a memorial. If no one seems to understand what LA was saying, why don't we just ask him???? If he was speaking to his sister,or about CAYLEE,or to his mother---What true difference does it make to uis??? This was not "our memorial",if we wanted everything to be as we wanted it to be,then perhaps we should have had our own memorial, personally,I feel it was beautiful,it was for them-not us,it was VERY well done IMO,and we could pick almost anything to pieces, but for right now I personally am going to practice "the THUMPER principle"

If he'd said "those among us" instead of "those of us", it would have made a lot more sense. I think he's referring to anyone who knows anything, to please come forward and say something.

Yes, in Lee speak what you said makes sense.

Nobody in that family can just say something without convoluting it. Lee with his lip smacking answer facilitation. George cracked me up with his "sense and sensibility" phase, I thought he had holed up for a Jane Austen film fest. And then there's Cindy, the "nurse of decomposition" who apparently graduated from the University of "Science is just science."

I'd hate to hear this family try to order a Big Mac and fries at the drive through.

OMG, by the time they got to the pick up window it would have been Fillet o' Fish and a diet Coke, but they wouldn't have ordered it any way. Someone else would have done it for them!!!

If he truely wanted the gossip to stop, then WHY did he provide us with so much fodder to contemplate with his cryptic CMA kisses and pleas?

Well, I for one think you're hysterical.

It all seemed like one big message to KC. All of them, mom, dad, and brother. I think they all regret everything, but there is nothing they can do to change it.

So each, in their own way, is saying goodbye to KC.

I have thought all along, that this has been a long process of letting her go. She has been dependent and malignant to the family--and there's nothing to do now but cut her loose to handle her future in the correction system and her legal team as best she can.

They know she has to do this by herself.

Oh man, that is so sad and it is so true. Regardless of how they feel, she is gone to them, no hugs, no talking except over a video phone, no watching tv and making choco chip cookies or whatever they did together. My sister was a KC, but I cried for days when she died, a lot because of what might have been if she had been different. I think Lee and the parents have a right to feel genuine sadness and loss for both the people they have lost. Especially under the circumstances.

If they didn't want it discussed you'd think they would have had a private memorial. Instead they had their lawyer go on TV and announce the date and time of a public memorial that would be so large attendence wise that they would not be able to have it in the church but in another building. The Anthony's had this public memorial for us, the public.

I hope this comes off as a true honest question and not a slam, but if Caylee's remains weren't even at the PUBLIC memorial, then WHY did the public memorial have to take place so many months after her remains were id'd? Funerals and memorials traditionally take place very soon after a death. Not months later.
Examination of the remains was the excuse offered up for no funeral/memorial back in December. But, like I said, her remains were not present at the recent public memorial so...I don't get it. The whole thing rubbed me the wrong way and just felt "too late".

Heck, I still don't understand why they were referring to it as a funeral.

I believe that the A's didn't feel it was appropriate to have a public memorial until they said their private goodbyes and until Caylee's body was cremated. There seemed to be an equal split of opinions here on the forum, with about half feeling that the memorial should be held even before the body was found and the other half feeling that the private service should come first. The A's weren't going to please everyone and they had no obligation to try. If the people who actually knew and loved Caylee were content with the arrangements, I see no reason to question them.

Hi Chilly-
I hope that you and I have had enough back and forth convos here for you to know that I totally respect your POVs and even like you too!
I just wanted to clarify that I didn't mean since her remains weren't even at the memorial that the memorial could have been held before her body was found, I was speaking of after the fact, in late December. Tip-toeing away now. Remember, I'm your friend! We can agree to disagree on certain points! lol. Luv Ya!:blowkiss:

Oh Ripley, ya know I luv ya and I appreciate so much that you like me when there are so many here who would like to seem me boiled in oil and fed to their cats. I wasn't attacking your opinion, I was just giving you something to think about. Now get off the computer and go think. Or better yet, go get some sleep and don't think. That's what I'm about to do. See you tomorrow.

I'm suddenly reminded of the very end of those WB cartoons where the sheep dog and the (disguised) wolf work together every day. both starting and ending their days at the time clock stuck to side of a tree...Luv ya Ralph. Penguin.

LA's comments were so strange. He just seemed tormented and so so angry. Wow. I just can't decide what he was trying to say.

Well I get a kick out your post... but just watch the redneck humor I have a few in my family.... lol...but i had posted earlier and it was deleted or something ( I can't find it) but I can see Cindy on QVC next selling Caylee jewelry and George thinks he is the next John Walsh (by the way he is a dapper dresser) with his own TV show...these people live in their own reality But I did think the memorial was beautiful the church and pastor did a gret job in remembering Caylee..and IMO thats all it should have been about was Caylee not about the next chapter of the Anthony family saga I really could care less..
