LA LA - Thibodaux, WhtMale 26-37, UP2210, in swampy area, right handed, work shirt "WPL9678", Oct'84

Learn more about this case on DNASolves.

This is a big-time stab in the dark, also a bit of a reach, perhaps, but how about Lester Rome (Lester J. Rome – The Charley Project)? His age is very much off the estimate (57 y/o vs. the 26-37 estimated for this Doe), but the circumstances seem to line up decently. An older post on White Pine John Doe's thread sheds a bit more light on Rome's case:

"I e-mailed the Jefferson County Parish Sheriff's Office several months ago, and was told the following about Lester Rome --

A review of the report indicates that Lester's vehicle was found in Lafourche Parish.
The vehicle had been burned. We do have a suspect in this case and believe Lester
never made it out of Louisiana. DNA was obtained from Lester's brother and is on file
in CODIS."

Lester went missing in January of 1984, and this Doe was found in October of 1984; considering the estimated post-mortem interval, it matches up rather nicely. Plus, this Doe was found in Lafourche Parish, where Lester's car was found burned.

I can't say I see an immense amount of resemblance between the reconstruction and Lester's photo, though. Plus, both Lester and this Doe have DNA available, so perhaps this connection has been ruled out by default before all this.
The location alone makes this an interesting possibility, I think.

Is it possible that the decedent was a early victim of Ronald Dominique?
The location, victims age and method of disposal match his MO however his first confirmed murder occurred in 1997
Edit
Ronald was known to leave his victims in bayous. The decedent was found in a swampy area. I know swamps and bayous are technically different things but I still feel they are similar enough to be worth noting.

Timing is wrong, if they're right about 1.5-6 months, for William Denzel Newman, Jr, but height and facial shape seem similar enough, and he went missing from Slidell. Problem is, he was last sighted on Jan. 8, 1980.

UID's hair color is unknown. Charley lists Newman's as black, but NamUs lists it as strawberry blonde/dark blonde. One or both of UID's hands were not recovered with his skeletal remains, per NamUs. Skeletal anomalies noted there, too.
With William Denzel Newman, i would love to know why he also used the name Richard.
