Lamar Odom fighting for life after overdosing at brothel

  • #401
I hope it didn't sound like I was arguing or bashing them in some way. I was just saying that perhaps during this difficult time, they want some privacy and to not have to "work". I think they are obviously keeping in touch with close family and friends. Maybe they feel it's not right to announce to the world the specifics of what is happening with Lamar personally.

I didn't mean to imply you were bashing them. I was just saying what I thought their reasons are for making a public statement about their app business.

Even when a loved on is dying? I couldn't live a life like that.

Is he their loved one? Only by a technicality (family court back log) he isn't divorced from KK yet.

Either way to ME it seems wrong. Right now it should be about Lamar.

I agree that it should be about Lamar. But when I read speculation here that Khloe should be blamed for him being in that hospital bed, I feel the need to speak up and disagree.

I bet that many a CEO has put out a business statement explaining their current situation when they have a family emergency. I have seen football coaches make a public statement about why they will be missing practice and games if a child is in the hospital. I do not see the difference. JMO

Divorce doesn't always mean you stop loving or caring for someone and if they were all there by his side clearly they still care about him. Even in non-famous, just regular families people stay can close. I have a better relationship with my ex-sister-in-law than I do with my other siblings.

eta: For instance I just referred to her as if she is one of my siblings! Didn't even realize I did that.

Yeah I don't think she should be blamed. She loved him and still does.. She tried to help him. Even though technically by LAW they are married, they are not. But she still loves him and this has to be so hard on her. It's difficult to watch someone you love die..

Especially a business where people have already paid for a service in advance. They can't just say nothing.

Lamar Odom's Condition Uncertain Amid Kardashian Publicity Battle

nflicting reports continue to surface about the condition of Lamar Odom, who was hospitalized in Las Vegas on Tuesday after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel.

Thursday evening, ESPN reports that the two-time NBA champion remains on life support and in a coma but claims the former NBA forward has made “small progress over the past 24 hours.” People conversely claims that Odom is on “his last leg” and his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian is “preparing for the worst.” More at link . . .

Honesly, I don't think I can judge who loves someone or who doesn't, what's in their heart or what isn't. I'm sure all involved are in pain.

Oh, I hope he is making progress. How wonderful would that be if he made a full recovery? I know its probably wishful thinking at this point. But he is an athlete, and had been getting back in shape lately. I think he might have a better chance than many.

They have a huge social media following and business empire. I don't see anything wrong with making a statement to explain what is going on. JMO

We are saying the same thing.....I think. I was DEFENDING the statement released by the family. "As a family, we've decided to hold off on publishing content across our apps while we continue to support and pray for Lamar. Thank you for your kindness and understanding during this difficult time."

Based on that logic that the term "loved one" can only refer to family members, Since they aren't divorced yet then yes he's their loved one, technically. I wasn't aware that "loved one" can only legally be used to describe family members by blood or marriage.
