Kidney is one organ.

Just from experience of sitting bedside, the most ill patients can and do "revive" for a time. It is like someone turns on a switch and they come around. They appear to be on the mend, but as quickly as they perked up...they are gone again and never regain clarity before death. It is a phenomenon I have seen repeatedly. This could be Lamar's Hail Mary Pass to Khloe before he leaves. Either way, I am happy for Khloe as she will cherish anything right now as a sign from him.

Or he could be improving.

Guess we shall see.

Internal organ failure:*Fatal organ failure may not happen immediately, but could occur hours to several days after an overdose.

It's hard to say without really knowing exactly what he took. I would think multiple organ failure is at play here. Not necessarily every one listed.
Respiratory, heart, liver, pancreas,brain, kidneys... Dialysis takes place of the kidneys,a ventilator replaces the lungs, insulin can be given for the pancreas, (diabetes insipidus) drugs can be administered for the heart,but there isn't much that can be done for the liver other than a transplant. -moo

I think the pink froth can be from respiratory failure or possibly he aspirated vomit when unconscious. I know drowning victims are often described as having a pink discharge from nose and/or mouth.
Pediatrics was my specialty so, I'm not that much help.

He could have damage to any and all organs. It would depend on what drugs were used, including the herbal carp he took and how long he may have been without oxygen and whether his blood pressure was so low that the organs did not receive enough oxygen. When the blood pressure drops, the body goes into survival mode, making sure the brain and heart receive adequate blood flow. This happens via the release of adrenalin. The body and its ability to preserve itself I truly amazing.

Yep, we know from his 'companions' that he took a speedball (cocaine and heroin mixed and injected), we also know he took over a dozen herbal viagra, plus alcohol, and not just any alcohol, but a large amount of cognac, who knows what else he took .. likely some kind of amphetamine and maybe some scripts, who knows. But certainly enough to damage his already compromised system. If he's got kidney and heart damage that could have been developing for years, like 20 years of drug use. I can't imagine he hasn't done permanent damage to himself.

That's what I think too. He understands and respects boundaries. He's a lot of things but he wouldn't exploit someone he loves.

That is exactly what happened with my Mother. The middle of the night before she passed, she sat up on her own (which she had not been able to do on her own for many weeks) and sat on the side of her hospital bed that we got from hospice and had a nice long chat with my aunt. The next day she was gone within an hour.
