I think I'm missing something, certainly not the first time! If Kyron is the main beneficiary, why wouldn't the money go to his bio mom? Why would the money for Kyron go to Terri? Or was this another game Kaine played with his children?

Actually that was my point. If something were to happen to Kaine and he had a large life insurance policy I am sure he had Kyron has a main beneficiary, as well as baby K. Maybe she didn't want to share any money with DY but wanted all to herself. There is one motive to remove Kyron. I can think of a few, money, anger at Kaine, anger at DY. I fully think a person that could comteplate killing her husband is capable of doing the same to her step son.

I don't understand what you are saying. What game did Kaine play with his kids? When you have a life insurance policy, you can name multiple beneficiaries.

This being the same Terri who told reporters on Saturday afternoon that everything was fine and that it wasn't true Kaine had moved out . . . just before the RO was served and we all found out about both the RO and the divorce filing and that Kaine had taken Baby K and moved out at least several hours earlier, if not the day before. And it was also after she'd made two 911 calls, at least one of which was re a "custody issue", and presumably about the absence of Baby K and Kaine.

It's certainly well within the realm of plausibility that Kaine had had an affair, or even many affairs (can't say I'd blame him, given what we're learning about Terri), but at this point any information that has Terri as its only source goes into my "consider the source" file, not my "probably true" file.

I have not even read thread 1 in it's entirety, but I wanted to mention that there was practically NO snow in the Portland are this year. The Skyline area would have gotten the majority of any snow fall, but it wouldn't have been on the ground longer than 24 hours.

This has been the most entertaining day! It kind of makes up for my lack of fireworks this year.

I just have to chime in regarding the audacity/brainlessness of TH if all is what it seems. Murder-for-hire and kidnapping have at least one thing in common. The perp almost never gets away with it. It smacks of extreme desperation and clouded judgement.

Back to quietly observing, while clouding my own judgement with 8-year-old bourbon. Carry on.

I'm seeing a pattern emerging of using babies to manipulate the circumstances. ex. If you do that I'll do this and you won't have your baby anymore. I'll extrapolate that thought process onto insurance policies - if you don't do this, I'll change the beneficiaries. Just look at what he did with the media! moo

And if anyone is questioning why I think this way - I admit to being biased. I honestly have developed a dislike for Kaine - a mistrust. I think he has a great deal to do with what has happened, indirectly! moo

At least if the article has that part right, about how LE came across this guy and others they interviewed, which makes perfect sense.

I think this only adds to the mess of Kyron's life, but I don't think it improves his chances...wish it did.

What if the scenario is this: someone else has also been contacted to kill Kaine (maybe several others), and Terri thought the hit might actually take place. Now, she for sure would keep the baby, but what if she truly loves Kyron and thought, with Kaine out of the way, he would go back to live with Bio mom (which very likely would happen). Now, she wants to keep Kyron, so she gets him out of the way, somewhere safe, has Kaine killed, and then disappears with the baby and Kyron a few months down the road.

The plan clearly went wrong...but maybe Kyron is safe somewhere and she has him hiding out.

The standard of proof for getting a temporary (ex parte) restraining order is very low, deliberately so. All it requires is for the party applying for the order to make allegations of a certain type. The allegations do not have to be proven.

This is so that people who are the victims of domestic violence can get quick action on the part of the courts.

The person targeted by a temporary restraining order has the right to apply for a hearing on the order, which must be granted within a certain time (usually very short time). That hearing is where evidence must be supplied to prove the allegations made in the original application.

Although it is rare, people do lie in applying for ROs. And people can also be misled into applying for one.

The proper point to contest a restraining order is at the hearing after a temporary restraining order has been granted.

I have to go to court and face her this week, I am hoping she doesn't show, she couldn't bother to show for her own child support hearings or her court date for being arrested for driving without a license, so I'm hoping the cycle of failing to appear in court continues :angel:

As far as I'm concerned anyone who would rather keep a father from their child by attempting to have them arrested for driving without a license (which she does all the time) and lying about the type of RO I have on him to police, is someone who should be in a mental ward, not being mean but she has plenty of other issues and I am not comfortable with her being any where in the vicinity of my child or myself, I don't even want his father around her and I don't like him so much anymore :snooty:

I always wondered if that email that Kaine sent to everyone at Intel was really for one person only. He couldn't communicate with that person, so he did it that way.

I have a feeling that if Kaine was having an affair, it was with someone at Intel. There would have been coworkers that knew about it. JMO

I think if TH had asked several people to knock off Kaine, one would have come forward sooner. This landscape guy is probably it and TH moved on to some other idea.

I can't think of anything that would have to do with Kyron that I can believe in, though. She wasn't going to end up with custody if Kaine was dead, IMO. He has a bio-mom who seems involved enough in his life. So hiding him would do what? I don't think this was about money, she wanted to be rid of Kaine. If she got some money, well and good. But I'm not seeing that as a motive. Striking out a Kaine via Kyron, maybe. Either way, it does not bode well for Kyron, IMO, and with this stuff coming out, she is not about to talk. But she was not going to talk anyway, not with a lawyer and after a month of not telling what, if anything, she knows.

I guess it is possible that LE has yet another shocker up thier collective sleeves and Kyron could yet be produced. So we'll just have to wait. News can come at any time as we have seen.

I have been trying to reach the end of this thread all day! It just keeps getting longer and longer. So I give up. Sorry if this has been posted already, way on down the line.

Several have mentioned getting a 'Balloon Boy' feel from this case. I have felt that too. Also mentioned has been, 'follow the money.'

This case has felt weird from the start, leading some to wonder if it is a hoax of some kind. Desiree's distress seems authentic to me. Tony's concern for his wife and for Kyron seem authentic. KH seems very stoic. Still not sure how authentic that is. TH seemed like a frightened animal. To me, it wasn't grief and it wasn't concern, it was fear.

So if this was a hoax of some sort, I don't believe it involves more than one of those four people (possibly 2 but I think more likely 1).

We have reports that there was a 'murder for hire' plot several months ago. Now Kyron is missing.


So going on that (MOO only):

1) Plan A, hit put out on KH for insurance money. Lawn guy doesn't bite and it falls through.

2) Plan B, hoax kidnapping for ransom. Partner takes Kyron. Ransom is delivered. Partner and TH divide ransom.

The money is the only thing about this case that makes sense to me. It would also explain the 'Balloon Boy' vibes.

And this is why Desiree says 'Kyron is alive' with such conviction, why she said 'we thought he'd be home by now (paraphrase), and, why she implores with TH to cooperate.

A money/ransom motive just doesn't make sense to me. IMO A $90K/yr income is not that much for a family of 4-5. Neither drive an really expensive vehicle and the house is not what I consider upscale.

Now it could be insurance. It will telling I guess if we ever find out how much KH has and who the beneficiary is. Here in FL both mine and hubby's company require that in polices though them that it must be your spouse if married unless your spouse signs a waiver.

Wow, talk about a major development! I'm still trying to catch up; but, the thread is moving too fast. I'm gonna have to skip a few and come back and read later.

Anyway, I logged on this morning, as others, expecting nothing new. I could not have been more wrong. I have not been able to think about anything else all day long. I have wanted to believe that SM would not hurt Kyron; but, in light of all of this new info ... that is just too much to be a coincidence.

I really wish I knew all the details of DY & KH's divorce. I wonder if Kaine had more money and/or a better attorney he used to gain custody of Kyron from his mom. I wonder if it got really ugly as most custody fights can. IF it did, I can see that Terri would expect pretty much the same if she sought a divorce (although that DOES NOT excuse what she did).

I KNEW the "abuse card" was coming. Gee, can't anyone be original these days? As far as abuse, I just don't buy that. It is possible that Kaine was a difficult person to live w/; but, Terri is a former body builder. I have a really hard time believing that she would allow a man like Kaine to abuse her.

Now, I want to know why LE and the parents believe Kyron is still alive! I want to believe that more than anything else in this world!!! I can wait if it means Kyron being able to come back home safely!

I think you point out what most of us have thought all along, this is simply a matter of a very angry woman who would do anything to 'punish' KH - I thought it was because he sent her son away, but now I believe it's a combination of things not based on facts. She's just plain mean spirited and will/would do anything to anyone, even a sweet little boy...on top of this, like your son's father's girlfriend, I bet in her mind she thinks 'they all made me do it.' UGH

I don't think Terri being a former body builder would prevent her being a victim of abuse. Not saying she is one, but size is really not a factor and as we know, she is not in shape anymore. And Kaine looks like a big guy. Just not a statement that works for me.

The whole affair thing smells of an excuse TH may have used to landscape guy. She couldn't very well tell him that she was sick of being married to this guy but did not want to be a 3-time divorcee, for example. Just an opinion.

Well trying to catch up was at work most of the day, Big News today ! I was like "What" ? when I saw the title of this thread, I don't think I am suprised by it though, but I am suprised Kyron is missing if her plan was Kaine ... I am going to have to ponder this one for awhile.
