well the longer they sit on there butts the longer kyron sits out there somewhere, live or dead, and isnt brought home. i dont sense a real urgency for LE to find him one way or another

I thought about this last night, and tried to figure out how I would handle this case if I were in charge from the beginning.

Try it. It is mind-boggling how difficult it is and how many people are needed. As the saying goes, it's like trying to herd cats or to play Whack-a-Mole.

If anything, I'm less hopeful now Kyron will be found alive..
IMHO...If she is capable of standing on a stage at a press conference hanging on to her husband who we now know she wants dead because she claims he hurt her, she is capable of anything...IMHO..Also pretending to console the real mother of a child she , herself, may have harmed indicates to me she may be lacking a conscience....JMO

I agree. I think the past four weeks (with each new bit of info released) have demonstrated that TH is possibly - even more than likely - without a conscience.

If these new allegations about the solicitation of a murder-for-hire wherein KH was the alleged target (and I believe the allegations to be true) then I am left with no doubt as to the lengths TH would go to in order to seek revenge against KH (including harming his son).

Did KH have an affair? I have no idea. If he did, he wouldn't be the first husband (or wife) to do so, nor would he be the first husband (or wife) to be innocent of such an accusation.

What stands out to me is TH's grasping at justifications (albeit third-party, but I'm inclined to believe these 3rd party claims, since they have been reported in multiple news sources) that her husband deserves to die because of her claim that she was in a bad marriage and that Kaine had "hurt" her by having an extra-marital relationship (source: http://www.kgw.com/news/local/Hormanprobelatest-97771724.html )

As someone posted earlier - if that was justification for murder, there would be piles of dead bodies.

As far as I'm concerned, TH's claims that KH had an affair are irrelevant. I don't care one way or the other, any more than I cared that both of them went to the gym that day when a KATO reporter approached them.

What's relevant to me is that TH seems to be willing (according to what's been reported by several news outlets today) to take extraordinary & grossly illegal measures to rectify her "claims" regarding her spouse's alleged infidelity, when a divorce would have been one of the usual routes taken by the average person (reconciliation & couples counseling being another route).

Futhermore, IMO, it sounds as if TH may not only possibly be without a conscience, but who may also see her husband & children (including stepchild) as possessions, as objects, and not as human beings.

I'm new to this forum but recognize some of you from following the Victoria Stafford case.

WOW! This tale just seems to become more and more sordid every day!

I hope that IS as complex as some people are speculating and that poor Kyron will return home soon...but I fear that when the murder plot did not unfold as she had hoped she eventually took that rage toward her husband out on the closest and most helpless person nearby.
:(

LOL, Emma! Heads are gonna be spinning in prime time tomorrow night!

WOW! Just read the first thread! Who would have thunk it?

Anyway, I think JVM has a prerecorded program set for Monday night...something maybe about the oil spill and animals? She must be off for the long holiday. I doubt that NG will be live either....of course this will be their "BOMBSHELL" on Tuesday.

Yes! In my defense, there was a wall alongside the overpass which hid the car from view. Those bike tires were right along the top of the wall.

ETA: Okay, so I didn't notice the wall.

I'm going to get in trouble for this, but here's another conundrum for you. Husband and I were driving through a town near Boston. He was showing me around because I'd just moved there from Atlanta.

There were lots of little houses, sidewalks, a big Catholic church, along the street. One of the houses had a yard full of tombstones.

I was so shocked that Yankees bury their dead in their front yards. My eyes bugged right out of my head!

Would you be?

It's hard for me to guess since in both cases you offered, I didn't see any reason to assume anything other than what you assumed.

My husband loves to tease me because I am fairly book smart but a total airhead so much of the time. He says the dichotomy is a turn-on. Guess he thinks he can trick me or something.

With all due respect, though, we don't see all of their urgency. We only see some attention-grabbing news print and a few "no comments."

I'm willing to attribute to LE more of a "give-a-damn" than we can see in those news articles. MOO.

well i dont know what they think they are acheving here. leaking stuff to the press, getting hubby to file for divorce, jacing up the media pressure isnt gonna work on her obviously.

if, like i undestand, they have known about the landscaper since 2 weeks in, what is the purpose of wating anymore? he's been gone a month now

However, in the interests of self-preservation (and whether she acted alone or precipitated someone else's actions), I'm hoping she realizes the jig is up and does what she can to lessen the punishment for herself. The number one thing she could do in that regard is to tell where Kyron is.
:praying:

Oregon has the death penalty, doesn't it? Her probable best hope, if Kyron is no longer with us, is a life sentence.

I wonder how long a person can hold out with that in their future? What will the rest of her life be like if she does hold out and Kyron is never found?

Some more general thoughts:

1. If the lawn care guy were to turn out to be dishonest, look what he's caused

2. LE seems 100% commited to one direction, no doubt with very good reason. I'm kind of worried that there's probably no plan B, if this direction were to be wrong.

On the whole though, I think it's likely LE is on the right track, and there wouldn't be much of a motive for the lawn care guy to lie. However, all the eggs do seem to be in one basket, IMO.

Don't shoot me, but I don't think she wants to kill Kaine simply because he had an affair.

Nope. It runs much deeper than that. With her deep issues, and likely, with his deep issues, and issues with the kids, etc..

On the other hand, this may have been her master plan all along ... I wonder what the wills look like?

Probably as long as their lawyer tells them there isn't enough evidence to support a conviction.

I have to believe that those who have done the ultimate harm to a child -- especially the ones who never confess it -- live all the rest of their days in abject misery and fear of the hereafter, and that they're afraid to close their eyes to sleep because of horrific nightmares during which the little ones visit them in the worst state that could be imagined.

I know that's gruesome and a harsh thing to wish on another living being (I won't say "human" being), but those people deserve no quarter. They deserve to suffer while they're on this earth and for all eternity, IMO.

My Mom used to tell us not to talk bad when mad about family because you couldn't take it back and people will remember it. That may be good advice until you need to talk to someone about domestic violence. Too many people are too ashamed to talk about it with anyone.

Or about child molestation. Or about drug/alcohol abuse which won't stop spiralling down towards complete self-destruction (even death, or homicide-by-DUI) until the person is stopped by outside pressure. Or about persistent emotional abuse that's doing permanent psychological damage to the victim.

Honestly, I don't think family members should get any special privileges. I've seen many people tolerate years of damaging emotional abuse, well into adulthood, from a parent or sibling, when any non-relative perpetrating the same sort of abuse would have been dropped like a rock decades ago. Family should treat you *better* than unrelated people; if they can't even manage to meet the standards you require of casual acquaintances, why grant them special protection from having their behavior exposed?

Too often, a policy of protecting a family member out of a sense of family loyalty ends up paving the way for something unexpected and awful to happen. Maybe if Kaine had been more loose-lipped with friends and co-workers and Kyron's teachers about his wife's unpleasant behavior, someone would have gotten him to realize before it was too late, that there were some really scary red flags waving there.

They have to be running a parallel investigation, maybe more than one. I think it would be stupid of them not to, unless they have proof positive, and I don't think they are stupid. That's what I keep telling myself.

This opinion, of course, is based on my assumption that LE has not run out of other options on which to base a parallel investigation. That's what scares me -- what if TH did this and no one ever finds either Kyron or sufficient evidence to convict her?

I'm hoping she doesn't say mausoleums. I'm hoping for rectory or chapel lol

Although it is common for very old, usually very relatively large, houses in historic areas in the NE to have their own graveyards. They're usually in the sideyard or backyard ime.

Yeah, if he's lying and LE doesn't realize it, that's one heck of a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 storm to have kicked up! I really believe they would have administered a LDT to him, though, before telling Kaine about it and going so far as to advise that he move out and take the baby with him for safety's sake.

Hopefully!

O/T - Wow - I just re-read my last post - and I've come to the conclusion that I might just be a geek - or half-Vulcan!

Thx for the thx to my post - but I think I may need to chill out & learn how to talk like a normal person in my posts!

I don't talk like that IRL - I promise! Something overcomes me when I start typing - and before I know it, I sound like Spock!

I agree Ms. Emma, IF he had an affair, that would be the least of their worries. Maybe the next couple weeks will be the 'unloading secrets' week. What a mess this family is. :banghead: moo

I agree absolutely and have thought so from the outset...not pleading for your baby is in MHO bizarre - please remember the first day(s) he was just "lost" right? I would grab any mic, person, anything to find my baby, and in fact have when I lost my daughter for a tortuous 10 minutes at an amusement park.

Totally not related, but I am related to a Sorrell, is that a family name and are you in the South?

Wow. There are probably some houses like that here in the south, too, but I can't recall having seen any with their own graveyards. Well, some of the old plantations, but if those are in front of the house, it's usually off to the side of a long driveway leading up to the house and not right in front of it.

Oh....I just had a thought! Wonder if it was a gravestone manufacturing business? That would be exactly the type of mistaken impression I'd get, so maybe? LOL

Man, if I get this right, I'm gonna do a screen-grab for posterity's sake! Ha!
