Supposing she thought that the landscaper wasn't going to do it or if she asked anyone else and they weren't willing, she might have eventually figured out that it was too risky to have Kaine killed because her reluctant hitman candidates could have revealed her plans to LE if they heard of Kaine dying.
Exactly. Or maybe she was just lazy. Her reasoning defies logic, just as Casey Anthony's does. We all keep asking ourselves why Casey didn't just leave her home if things were so bad. Heck, why didn't she leave not long after murdering Caylee? Why stick around and get into trouble? In her case, she was lazy and thought someone else (parents and brother) would clean up her mess and help her get away with this crime. She never imagined the police would ever be involved or that she would get into any trouble over it.
I think it's the same thing in some ways here. Why didn't TH just take the baby and leave if things were so bad? Instead, she sticks around seven months or so after looking for a hitman to take out her husband. Maybe she was comfortable in the fact that since the hit never went through, she'd never get into trouble for it? And who knows if she wasn't looking for another way to take Kaine out?
I think she believed she had everyone fooled, and if she did get into trouble, then Kaine (definitely) and maybe Desiree and Tony would stand up for her and help her not get into trouble because they wouldn't believe she had anything to do with this. I think, like Casey, she's not as good at lying and pulling the wool over others as she thought she was. All this time, she thought she had a handle on what people thought of her and how her life was going. Now she's finding out the truth, that she was fooling no one, and that now she's in serious trouble that I doubt she ever thought she would be in.
That's the thing about sociopaths and narcissists (I think she's one of these, or has the tendencies of both) - they think they have everything under control and nothing bad can possibly go wrong. I can totally see her thinking about and even asking around for a hitman at one time, and when that didn't work, then it was back to the drawing board to find something else to hurt him with. She probably thought she had all the time in the world to do something to him, so why hurry? It's all under control, there won't be able trouble, so why move faster and possibly make mistakes?
I'm not surprised there was such a length of time between the hitman and then Kyron going missing. TH was trying to pull off the perfect crime and she obviously took her time in doing it. It makes me wonder if LE has searched her computer and found searches for weapons, household weapons, how to murder and get away with it, poisons, you name it. I bet she was planning something for quite awhile.
Only it seems Kyron became her focus for some reason, and that took priority over killing Kaine. He probably didn't even realize he'd done something to make her want to do away with him, poor kid. What have you done, TH? Where is Kyron?
