After 6 months???

Will the utility worker have to give a pee sample? Did he ever get to relieve himself?

Maybe they want to prove that he was there to pee and not sent by LE. The guy might be attacked by the enemies of the prosecution.

I don't know how long the teeth stay in the skull, but perhaps they were knocked out of place or loosened at the time of death? Maybe she got a good blow to the jaw?

So many questions. That poor baby.

Oh, man! I so hope that did not happen! I was/am hoping that it was a 'soft kill' and not a violent one.

I hope Casey and anyone else that had anything to do with Caylee's death rots in h3ll!

Do you think the duct tape, if wrapped around the head it could have been to prevent the animals getting to her face, god knows what goes on in caseys mind but maybe she just didnt want them getting to caylees beautiful face, when my friends child passed with illness, she was so worried about things getting to her daughters gorgeous face (although she actually was grieving for her child, and was in shock for along time, unlike KC),or maybe she did it because when moving and burying caylee she didnt want to look at her, to make it easier to detach from, her eyes may have been open after the accident/slaying, and she thought, stop looking at me, grabbed the tape and just kept wrapping until she was covered. Sorry if this sounds silly, i just, i cant get the tape out of my head, for some reason this image of the tape on caylee is practically haunting me, its so awful. i keep hoping they'll say the tape was a mistake it was actually used to tape the bag up not wee Caylee.

The tape is not a mistake in my opinion. That will be the mistake which will take them all down in this I believe. I have wondered if she broke her neck and then duct taped it back on her body because it would have been hanging from just ligaments. I am now convinced this was a violent death.

You are so right about the lime. We had an ex-cop in my hometown that killed his wife and son and buried in them in the barn and covered with lime to hide the smell from cadaver dogs.

He lived on a farm though; however the A's do not. What would they have had lime on hand for anyway?

From Wikipedia: "It has traditionally been used in the burial of bodies in open graves, to hide the smell of decomposition, as well as in forensic science, to reveal fingerprints. It is a refractory and a dehydrating agent and is used to purify citric acid, glucose, dyes and as a CO2 absorber. It is also used in pottery, paints and the food industry. Furthermore, quicklime is used in epidemics, plagues, and disasters to disintegrate bodies in order to help fight the spread of disease."

Could George have used the lime to destroy the smell of decomp in his yard?

I totally agree.

I might be in the minority, but I don't think Lee is the father of Caylee, nor do I think there has been any sexual abuse. I think it was just an attention-getting thing for KC to say whenever she wasn't getting the attention she thought she sooo deserved.

He probably isn't the father and there may or may not have been abuse. But I bet they will try to use this to get sympathy from jurors, to try and blame her upbringing in some way, since they are running out of other things to blame. Hey, maybe the squirrel did it!

I agree with you here. I think it's true that Casey and Lee were indeed very close and that he trusted her a great deal, more than her parents even. And I don't think he's trying to hide something, but rather distance himself from the ultimate betrayal after he had believed her story. I can imagine he is angry and hurt and feels taken for a fool by the person her probably felt closest to.

The whole thing is just sick. I can't read some of the threads and think about what this baby went through. The anger I feel for her and what she did boils my blood. I have to stay away but I'm an addict to this story.

This is my take on Lee as well. I'm still somewhat defending him, though he certainly doesn't make it easy. (taking the 'memorial' things, sigh...)
Everything up until recently says to me Lee is/was a pretty decent guy. There have been no accusations of wrongdoing by him in the past, other than a couple of things Casey has said , and I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt, at least for now. I think it is a possibility he is not as in love with the attention as some of the others seem to be, and once again, because of CASEY, everyone is in a turmoil, then to top it off, he, who has done nothing wrong, has to give fingerprints like a criminal, take a polygraph, submit his DNA. MOO, and I could be wrong, is he is just fed up.

I am sure he will be attacked, but that will not work. Whether he peed or not is not relevant. Most people would likely peed all over themselves if they had picked up a bag and a skull fell out.

Not a new thing apparently, although I had never heard of it. Check of the story from the movie "The Changeling". It was used way back then to hide decomposition so it must be nothing new.

Tell ya what, if I went into the woods to relieve myself and a skull rolled out of a bag, I'd have relieved myself then and there.

Could George have used the lime to destroy the smell of decomp in his yard?

The neighbors behind their house complained of a smell early on in this and when a dead animal was found, it was dismissed as the cause of the smell - then he limed his yard.

Respectfully snipped...

That could possibly be the case. Tho we do use lime here occasionally because our soil is so poor (mostly sand). I've never used it but I've heard of people using it.

Garden lime and quick lime are 2 different things. Trust me, I use garden lime for dog urine smell, it does not work that well on the dog smell, could not work for decomp. So, just what kind of lime did GA have?

Hi Turbo. Never heard this before. Is there a link for this anywhere?

I don't know what for, but it seems to me lime is used for lawn maintenance, and the A's seem to work in their yard a lot. I'll look it up.
Lanie

A website says it is used to reduce acidity in the soil for a healthy lawn. http://www.wvu.edu/~Agexten/hortcult/turf/liming.htm

What a coincidence!

I think they are looking for semen. Just a thought. They know he peed there, and I am sure they have his urine sample.

Thanks!

It had been stated that the area looked like an excavation site. So could there have actually been anything there to find after the soil had been turned?

I also just wonder if maybe Caylee's skull had evidence of blunt force trauma to the head or a fracture. I wonder how many of Caylee's little teeth they were able to recover. I am sure it will be a long time before we know the answers. So many questions and no answers.

Or, heaven forbid, to hold her head together.

Lime is very caustic and easily burns grass. If it was lime that George used, it was applied very sparingly, certainly not heavily enough to hide decomp smells, IMO. Besides, the dogs checked the yard out weeks earlier. It makes no sense that George would try to cover the scent after they'd already been there.
