The Crown's opening stated that Millard had a calendar reminder to do a "smell check" in the barn within that window.

Omg, I totally missed that if it was reported in a tweet . Wow!!

Does anyone know if there is anywhere we will be able to see the full opening remarks from the Crown?

The Twitter coverage of this one has been lacking to say the least.

So much evidence right out in the open of only TPS did their job when she was reported missing a couple lives could’ve been saved.

I imagine the further into this we go we are going to start hearing from the usual dumb dumb’s SS and Co

Smitch has her iPad for crying out loud, then he writes lyrics about burning her and disposing of her phone. Don't think there is any sort of explanation for that! Guilty! Save the taxpayers the cost of dragging this thing on for two months.

Well we know his explanation is going to be either he bought the Ipad from her or MS took it in exchange for payment for the drugs he supplied her with.

MOO

And will CN testify? They said we will hear testimony that LB told her she was still sleeping with Millard, who else could testify to that without it being hearsay?

Does look like DM's fixated on her escort/stripping activity and mental instability, as if that's going to instil "reasonable doubt" into the mind of the jury. DM is feeling powerful questioning LB's dad and SL- lets see how he does when the forensic people get on the stand. I have a feeling that the first "alpha male" that gets up there may rattle DM more than a bit.

Interesting that they're all using the Liam Casey article.

Texts?

She's in Poland now, maybe it'll be submitted to evidence through those letters again. I expect to see those again much less redacted.

Someone who knows more than him and can succinctly put him in his place will make him look foolish and perhaps rattle him. It will be interesting to see, although I'm not happy that it's coming with a price, to Laura, her family and friends.

He is using her escorting and mental health to try and say that a client killed her as that profession tends to have a high murder rate or she killed herself due to the bpd.

Lerner was a remarkable friend! He certainly put time and effort into trying to find Laura.
I could now agree more! We should all be so lucky to have someone like that in our lives. I read somewhere awhile ago that he struggles with terrible guilt over what happened to her which just broke my heart. He is as UNguilty as DM and MS ARE guilty

Thinking about MS's rap "last time I saw her was outside her home"...I wonder if MS's defence is going to be that he was at DM's house but outside when DM murdered her. mmmm maybe we'll see another performance in the witness box from MS where he says DM just asked him to help move a rolled up rug? Kind of like CN helping move the incinerator? What's the chances of MS taking the stand...again?

I will eat my hat if she shows up. I think that she is long gone and is free to go forth and live her life [emoji887]

Yup, that's where he's headed.

Why are they giving him this time? :waitasec:

Probably to make sure that he has every reasonable chance there is to defend his case so that there won't be a mistrial or any valid reason for appeal

I don't think he will. He'd have to go toe to toe with Millard face to face. But, if he does, I'll pay for a seat in the courtroom to see that.

Yup, that's where he's headed.

In the end these first few witnesses will have little to no effect on the outcome of this trial. He probably thinks he’s smart and good bashing her character on the easy witnesses to rattle. Once they experts come in none of this character stuff will matter.

I think the crown set this up in a way to show they know her issues and here is the concrete evidence they didn’t cause this outcome

Bingo. Preempt the defense and it becomes a dead issue.
