I don't know that I believe DM cares as much about the trial outcome as he does about torturing these witnesses on the stand and playing a game. I think these days at trial are likely the most interesting and fun days he has had in a few years......JMO

Not to mention he's likely not even seen the inside of a prison yet. He's probably been in Toronto South since leaving Barton. He's likely in a private cell being "protected" and has spent his days doing yoga, reading books, writing to his many admirers, playing pretendy lawyer and watching movies in his head.

I am so happy the Judge is intervening. I expected more of this yesterday. Many moons ago I worked at one of the seven sister law firms and recall one of the mock trails for first year lawyers. The objections and Judge warnings were just as frequent. Just to show that litigation is a fine art even for those with the proper legal training. (We didn't even practice criminal law at that firm).

THIS. Exactly this. I believe he knows he isn't ever getting out of jail and this is his way to entertain his psychopathic self. I'm having a hard time following....so much empathy for these witnesses having to put up with DM and his grandstanding.....makes me sick

The Crown has spoken up. When DM started going around in circles most journalists in the courtroom cut back the tweets...@TrialLive is tweeting much more and is giving me a better sense of what an IDIOT DM is.

I almost imagine that DM knows he is going to lose this case. He's just out for vengeance against SL, and wants to paint LB as being worthless.

LB's story is every parent's nightmare: your kid has friends but starts running with an exciting fast rich crowd, the kind of kids who give your kid free drugs on their birthday. Your kid is drawn in to something they can't handle and the other kids are like hyenas preying on the weak.

Except these aren't kids; they are young adults. It's not pot and alcohol; it's cocaine and ecstasy. DM is the person you never wanted your kid to encounter and here he is, showing why.

So it appears both defense teams are going with the "no body, no crime" defense. Although both are probably willing to concede that she is likely no longer alive, they want to raise reasonable doubt that it was either by her own hand or by the lifestyle she was leading. And all the upcoming circumstantial evidence is just a couple of guys being stupid with their code words and BBQ inferences.
