Makes me wonder if Smich had LBs bag with him when he was arrested for spraying that bridge? Not sure when that was?
If he did, LE surely would have taken it as evidence. jmo

Is it not possible that at the time of the first search, that red bag was not there? Could've been still at DM's residence and taken by MS later as a re-cycled use for his graffiti escapades?

I believe the search was after Smich was in custody,

And the rest of the "hole in the head" gang never saw or suspected a thing?

Lies were said!

Judge is clarifying to jury that the serial number on the iPad in #Smich home was same as one #Babcock had. Recess & 1 more police witness
....
Does this mean court is done for the day after the next witness??

Morning break. The next witness could testify all day. Who knows?

Looks that way.

I believe the search was after Smich was in custody,

He was taken into custody May 22, 2013. First search done at May 13, 2013..... but you're right.. I was thinking the search was way earlier... but forgot that no searching for LB had really been done at all until TB came to light.

Wondering why the red bag wasn't entered into evidence earlier and then witnesses who saw LB in her final few weeks could have said it was similar to one she was using or not?

I meant more... they mentioned 3 witnesses... but is that *all* the witnesses to be called today??

I'm just curious..can jury discuss amongst themselves what they might know about the Bosma murder conviction?

I mean, if by chance someone on the jury didn't know about it, I can see them asking why the Hamilton police were searching the Oakville home 7 months before the Toronto police seized that bag...

I thought DM kept asking about a red clamshell one?

Not sure what that is all about other than the fact that DM is seen in a photograph with a red clamshell suitcase that was probably on his hard drive. Not sure why he wanted to get that in as an evidence picture. Maybe he just wants the jury to know how rich he was and he's trying to show it off. IOW, why would someone with their own helicoptor risk killing someone? That's my only guess as to why he is entering that picture as evidence and not the Crown. Obviously it's not the same suitcase as the one found at Smich's home.

A resume? Now that's a real plot twist!!!
We heard about this last time too. It's a way of evidencing the room was his and, therefore, the other contents belonged to him too and not, say, his sister or mother.

Surely LE would have confiscated their evidence???

Possibly the paint cans were. Smich could have talked them in to giving him the bag back and they just kept the paint cans. But you would think that after such a close call he would have burned the bag. I highly doubt its the same one.

Didn't MM whine that DM promised the iPad to her? Yet it was converted to MS before 11:00 am the next day. Was she there then?
They remind me of a pack of wild animals ravaging the spoils after a kill.

Doesn't appear that anyone described the red roots bag. However we do have to remember that she returned home to her parent's house before setting back out and meeting up with DM. Is it possible she switched luggage at that time? I've often wondered what else she left at home other than the dog and an envelope with money. Every witness talks about numerous bags and a large black/blue suitcase. Nothing about a rolling Roots red duffel bag.

The photos taken in the first search in May showed the red bag on top of the mattress.
