Do you mean from May until the next search? Parents probably not allowed to touch anything.

Can someone refresh my memory please. Exactly how did Laura meet DM in the very beginning?

IIRC, there are always two groups. MS's neighborhood clan, and those DM met through Matt. I believe LB falls into the Matt group of friends and classmates that were invited to DM's parties.

The thing that struck me the most about today's testimony is the revelation that Mark Smich had CLEARLY taken possession of the iPad on July 4th. Marlena Meneses testified that she was annoyed that he got it because it was promised to her by Millard. How could that be? For him to promise it to her a) she would have had to be there that night or b) she would have had to have had prior knowledge that it was becoming available. Given that SL had only given the iPad to LB about a week previous, and from prior testimony, me know that LB did not see Millard during the days between. So how would Millard know there was an iPad and how could he promise it to Meneses?

Both scenarios seem unlikely. Meneses very likely was unaware of the crime given that Smich kicked her out of the garage when he boasted about it to friends, although she did appear in the video for the same song. But why does she testify about having prior knowledge about it?

My only explanation would be that Millard already had an iPad that he wasn't using. At some point he tells her that maybe he'll give it to her. When Smich shows up with the SL iPad, he tells Meneses that it is the one that Millard wasn't using. So she may not have been aware of the SL iPad at all, and may not have known when she testified.

Id have to check, but didn't it find its way from the bedroom to the garage?

Not clear as to whether the storage room was in fact Smich's room.

One bedroom appeared to just be used for storage, Seguin describes the photos she took of #Smich house.

Storage room is full of baskets, storage bins, a red roots duffel bag that Seguin is now describing. Spray paint cans falling out of bag.

These guys are both so dumb. Smich doesn't take the tag off of the bag? I wouldn't be surprised if DM gave Laura's jewelry to his girlfriend since he is also cheap. Guess we won't know.

Did we find out what was inside of that bag today BTW?

Thanks all for the twitter updates as this is the only way I can follow along whilst at work.
These 2 ding-a-lings aren't as smart as they think they are.

Oh I just think she was being told anything by Millard. I also don't think she was completely honest on the stand, as with all of the Millard and Smich friends during the Bosma murder trial.

Duffel bag belonging to Laura Babcock found in accused killer's home, jury hears

During opening statements on Oct. 23, the prosecution said Smich's iPad originally belonged to Babcock, a gift from her former boyfriend, Shawn Lerner, alleging the iPad was renamed "Mark's iPad" in early July after she was killed.
On Friday, Justice Michael Code made it clear to the jury that the serial number of Babcock's iPad matched the one seized from Smich's home.

But how could she be told about an iPad that Millard didn't even know about?

Maybe Smich took it immediately. Millard could have told her she could have it but Smich already claimed it by then.
