"You heard about the mean text message that Christina and Karoline thought would be funny to send to Laura on her birthday," #Millard reminds jury. They knew #LauraBabcock had a crush on Millard & were taunting her. Babcock told them she'd recently slept with Millard.

Babcock then apologized to #Millard, "sorry your gf got me angry," she said. He wants jury to think about the context and his relationships with all these women.

Millard says, "If there was a murder, if this was Laura's iPad and she was murdered. Do you think I would keep it around? Do you think I would let Mark keep it around?"
by Shannon Martin 11:35 AM

Says the guy who displayed Tim's truck in his hangar for a few days. Yes I know, it's not part of this trial; but I had to say it. MOO

Cross examination is about testing the evidence, #Millard tells jury. He's says Megan Orr testified that #LauraBabcock said she slept with Millard in the parking lot at Sherway Gardens. Just once. Everyone else was just assuming he and Laura were sleeping together, he says.

Oh wait...except for that one time.

Whether he slept with #LauraBabcock that once, does it matter? #Millard asks. Shows photo of himself in front of a helicopter with a woman, and text messages from someone named Jamie Lee. He had an ongoing sexual relationship with her too, he says.

Until she jumped out of a window? :notgood:

Worse still, everyone is assuming I killed Laura. Oh, wait, except for that one time!

What is the purpose of this, #Millard asks? Then goes on to talk about how Canadians fear guns but Americans have access to them as the second amendment, and he's spending a lot of time in the southern US, buying a car in Dallas and taking airplane maintenance courses in Reno.

Millard is reading his text message advice to Michalski about women. "Don't dwell on things, move on." So how big a deal is it to #Millard that Laura and Christina are bickering?

I really hope all these women get STD tests if they didn’t use protection! He’s gross!

"Now we've got the really interesting texts, from April 2012," between #Millard and Christina Noudga, about removing #LauraBabcock from their lives. "Sinister insinuations make you feel all warm and fuzzy," Millard remarks to Noudga.

I knew it! Dell just said that to turn CN on!

Millard now shows the court some more text messages, April 19, 2012, between him and Christina Noudga.

Noudga wrote, "I don't know why, but when you say things like, 'I'm going to hurt her, make her leave, remove her from our lives,' I feel really loved and warm on the inside."

Millard says, "This isn't about Laura. It's about Christina. About how she wants to feel."

Millard asks, "Is this text really motive for murder? Or is this me telling an upset girlfriend what she needs to hear in the moment to feel okay."

Millard goes on, "This isn't a situation where Christina says Laura bothers me so much I want you to go out and get rid of her... frankly she's said the opposite."

He says Noudga "feels insecure. She doesn't ask for any harm to come to Laura. That's a distinction I need you to see."

"People want to feel desired, protected, secure," #Millard tells jury. "This isn't about Laura, this is about Christina and how she feels, and how she wants to feel."

"I've got a number of girlfriends that I see. Of course she's going to feel insecure," #Millard says, "She didn't ask for anything to happen to Laura. That's the distinction I need you to see." #LauraBabcock

"This is talk, this isn't action," Millard says.

Millard points out we didn't hear from Noudga at this trial. "She was available as a witness, but she wasn't called. There is an absence of evidence. She didn't come here to explain these text messages."

The texts had their desired effect, #Millard says with some satisfaction. "This is talk. This is not action. This is a woman who wants to feel loved." #LauraBabcock

We have to take all of this with a grain of salt, but we haven't heard from Christina at this trial. She's available as a witness, she wasn't called, #Millard says to jury.

Can the crown now share that she refused to give them interviews/hostile etc?

Millard is talking about how he speaks differently with different friends. With Shane it was a business relationship, with Smich it's street lingo. "In court I use the biggest words I can," he says

"When I speak to Christina, I speak in a manner to her." But she hasn't been here, there's an absence of evidence about her take on this and what she would say, Millard says.

Now the text messages where #Millard is breaking up with Christina. "I'm not calling you my girlfriend any more."

How would he know if she was available or not, still pen pals?
