Code says that "now we're in the home stretch." This is a late one, today. He originally told the jury they'd be done by 5 p.m.

It is really amazing how much weight the Jurors get put onto their shoulders during these final days. I would imagine that at this point in the trial, they're so focused on what the Judge is saying, the evidence they've heard, the closing arguments, that normal life is a blur to them. I believe that they're sitting with a full compliment of Jurors right now, so there's also the thought that they may be one of the two selected to go home when it's time to deliberate. MOOYes I would imagine! I think about the jury quite often during this trial, even moreso today as I read along with the Judge’s charge to the jury, and how very complex it seems (though that could be my aging brain again), but one thing I’ve noted in my limited experience with the legal system, is how much respect and honor? the judges give the jury. I’m not sure how to put it, but I appreciate the lengths they go through.
I hate to put it this way, but in the words of CN, it makes me feel “all warm & fuzzy”. Sorry, too soon
Question re deliberation process - who is leading the discussion? anybody monitoring it?
He's punishing them for refusing to spend the weekend in his court![]()
Hi Nosey Parker, was it ever confirmed that Laura did in fact leave Lacey herself?
I wondered that too ... but it was mentioned in the same breath that she did laundry/dishes in that same instance.
How that's known, I don't know.
I would suspect that someone confident would volunteer. The main thing that a foreman does is read out the verdict in court, so probably someone who isn't shy to speak in front of people would be a good fit. To answer your other question, I don't think anyone other than the jury is in the jury room (so no one supervising, etc).how the foreman being chosen? can anybody elaborate?
I appreciate everyone on these threads.
Such a supportive and compassionate group you are!
Justice for Laura
My condolences to you, if it was really her. :laughing:About CN. Take it for what it's worth, but I think I saw her getting on public transportation about the right place and right time to get to 360 University by 10. It was one of the last days of crown presenting. Not even 97% confident though - sharp angle and not enough interest to confirm.

I dont see the thank you button in the mobile browser
Websleuths is an American site, but I said on another forum since I saw so many participate on another one, and the interest in these cases, maybe we need to have a Canadian Websleuths.
I have learned a lot from following these two cases. I probably could never be on a jury, I could not be impartial.
I now listening to the judge give instructions to the jury am learning a lot about how the jury has to reach the verdict.
I think this forum and others are educational to the justice system and provide a lot of good information.
It is also a good learning experience to listen to opposing views of the cases. I learned a lot from opposing comments.
There is another case in Hamilton of a man who shot a good samaritan just recently.
The police were looking for the murder suspect and now a police officer who is on my fb page announced the suspect has been captured today.
Wishing you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Thanks for all of you input , it has been educational.
We now will hear the final instructions of the judge and await the verdict.
Just wanted to highlight this post from Alban. This is the information about the cell phone pings that was presented on November 2 and that we have all been wanting to see!
:drumroll:
MOO
