Laura Recovery and Klass kids come back to help find Hailey

Regarding “evidence”

Many of you have expressed excellent points and logical conclusions that support “foul play”. I am not disputing any of that. But I do maintain that these points merely support the theory of foul play.

AFIK there is no crime scene, no witness, no “smoking gun”, no solid proof, etc of what happened to Hailey.

"More and more of a forward criminal investigation and, as we speak, that's where we're at," Kampfer said.

That’s not even a sentence. Sorry but this man’s statements are more confusing than clarifying.

http://www.ktxs.com/news/26459455/detail.html

Law enforcement officials detailed what Hailey left behind at her home: cash, a toothbrush, hairbrush, contact solution, a new MP3 player – and a jacket that friends say she would not have left home without.

Thanks for the link katydid.. But I must be losing my mind because I know for a fact that this morning I read a post here in Hailey's forum that said something close to the poster had learned "that Hailey even had non-prescription tinted contact lenses and those are pricey"..not exact quote but something almost exactly as that.. I believe that it even mentioned the actual color of the lenses..

It was that which led me to ask where this detailed info had come from..Does anyone remember reading that post? or was the one that posted it? I have done a search but only come up with mine and katy's exchanging posts about contacts..The only thing I can come up with is that it was possibly deleted? IDK??

anyone who knows I'd be so thankful..

TIA

I don't understand why Billie called home at noon to have Hailey come home. What difference did it make?? That's another red flag.

Thanks to all the searchers and people on here who donated time and money and food for the search. Seems like we care more than the child's mother. And that's sad.

There is the classic, "I'm going to my friend's house for a sleepover" line when the teenager is really going somewhere else but doesn't want their parents to find out. I can definitely see a runaway using that line to get themselves some time before their parents start looking for them. BTW, I definitely don't think that Hailey is a runaway but IMO, "I'm going to a sleepover" does seem like something a runaway would say.

I agree. It would also give them an excuse for the bag of stuff they were taking with them. Except HD didn't take a bag of stuff. :waitasec:

Hailey Dunn, missing teen, search effort as big as ever
http://www.kcbd.com/Global/story.asp?S=14066960
KTXS says one example of a public awareness event is the family heading to Dallas next weekend to hand out fliers.

Now...this says "the family". So I am going to be graced with Billie's presence in my town doing something to find her daughter? Or will it be Clint? I hope it's clint and I hope I know where he is so I can shake his hand and tell him I am praying for him. More power to him.

Assuming she ran away, that could be what she intended, but SA arrived home unexpectedly early, so she went with plan B (which had the effect of buying her more time than she would otherwise have had btw). As for not taking anything, we know she apparently didnt take anything form BDs house but she allmost certainly would have had stuff at CDs house (a few yards away) since she spent a lot of time and overnights there. We have heard nothing about whether anything was missing from his house (not that a father would know if anything was), and since he has moved now we will never know. She might also have had stuff stashed at other peoples houses days or weeks before, and then picked it up on her way out. Keep in mind that runaways invariably go somewhere and are sheltered by sympathetic third parties, she may well have had everything she needed waiting for there so there was no need to take anything.

So not taking anything with her that day doesn't exclude runaway as a possibility.

The run away theory is not plausible, IMO. Even IF HD had stashed clothing, etc., somewhere else beforehand (which I don't believe she did), she left her cash behind.

Cash can be shoved into a pocket even if one is leaving on the spur of the moment because someone arrives home unexpectedly. There is no reason to leave cash behind if someone is running away.

IMO - if Hailey had run away, there would be evidence supporting that scenario.

However, this is not a theory thread.

This thread is about the searches for Hailey.

The fact that LE has called this a criminal investigation, and the fact that there have been multiple searches in places that include abandoned buildings, culverts, creeks, and fields, as well as landfills with HRD dogs, indicates that LE does not believe she left of her own volition.

Hailey did not run away.

There is no evidence that she had any important things like money, jackets, contact solution, tennis shoes at any other locations. Clint has said she never came over that day, and nobody else reported seeing her either. Don't you think if she had a stash of money and clothes at a friend's house that they would have come forward?
And I highly doubt that she had a stash of those kinds of things at Clint's anyway. He lived across the street. So why leave expensive things there?

A runaway is not going to leave ANY money at home. IMO That is the biggest red flag for me. Leaving home in a t-shirt and sweats and flip flops , leaving behind money and new i-pod, and your fave hoodie? It just makes no sense.

Especially given how much she reportedly loved school, loved her baby sister and her big brother. I cannot see her running away and leaving them behind, with no explanation for them.

:sigh:

Bless the searchers' hearts. They have tried so hard to find her!

I've been trying to keep up with all the various threads here and downstairs, but is there any word yet on what evidence might have been found, if anything?

And was Oriah able to participate in today's search? I realize the dogs might not have been.

I'm so sorry to not hear news as a result of the searches this weekend. I prayed all weekend that they would find Hailey.

I did have to be in the DFW area this weekend and I did see flyers in every convenience store I stopped at on I20 from Big Springs to nearly Fort Worth. The only billboards that I saw on the interstate were near Colorado City. The last one that I saw was about 10 miles east of there.

I know it was probably not much help but I searched every face I passed on that interstate and while I was in DFW for Hailey. I guess because she was on my mind this weekend. On the way back this afternoon I did drive by her house in Colorado City. It hurt my heart to see her bedroom window and know that she wasn't in there safe and sound.

I only wished I had had the time (and lived closer) to have participated in the searches.

Brad Dennis and I spoke briefly yesterday and he sounded down to be honest but he was extremely grateful for the searchers and all the hard work everyone put into the search.

So many wonderful people showed up and worked incredibly hard to find Hailey.

And our fantastic Websleuths members made sure all the searchers had plenty of food.

What can we do? We can keep praying, sending out positive thoughts, and posting about the case.

In other words we will keep doing what we are doing.

Thank you all for caring so much about a young girl you never knew. You all restore my faith in humanity every single day.

Why would she wait until SA came home--to leave? Doesn't make sense except from the scenario that SA & BD have put out there.

Nope...no confirmed sighting on Sunday...and betting no other texts to friends on Monday too...plus she left her cash behind. jmo

I've been away for most of the day and only found 2 VERY BRIEF articles about this weekends search, in today's media reports. (Posted in media thread).

Where is the reporting in this case and this weekends search? Is it simply because there's no "news" to report? So very frustrating!

Thank you to all of the searchers, volunteers and those who donated time, food, money and their services and prayers.

I don't mean to sound as if I'm minimizing the amazing efforts of everyone involved in the search, in any capacity...I just find it....odd...that no news about the final outcome of this weekends search has been reported....I'm so sad for Hailey.

Hailey did not run away.

If someone runs away to a "safe haven" they don't need to take money or most of those material possessions, those things would be at where ever they went to. I doubt that she spontaneously decided to "run away", if she has done it, it would be with collusion from someone else who is capable of providing material support.

LE have stated repeatedly that they are investigating multiple angles. So they might search those places, that doesn't mean they are not investigating other scenarios behind the scenes. They certainly wouldn't tell us about it if they were. But, as you no doubt are fully aware, the searches being done now are NOT being done by LE, but by private individuals.

The truth is that LE have no idea what happened to her, so there is no where specific for them to look (hence no searches and the scaling back of resources). If HD is dead, and her body hidden somewhere, chances are that if it hasn't been found yet by a local it is unlikely to be located by an amateur search group looking in random places. Texas is big. Especially if they are looking for a corpse and she turns out to be not dead.

Why would she run away to a safe haven and cut herself off from the people she truly loved? Like her baby sis and older brother?
And what 'safe haven' would still be hiding her after this national media outcry in trying to find her?
And how would she set up such a haven without the FBI finding their plans on her communication devices?
CC is a very small town. It is not like she had a lot of people she could have been reaching out to.
I think, imo, that the 'safe haven' theory is wishful thinking. I do not believe that she had a safety net big enough that she could have left that house in flip flops and a t-shirt, with no money, no cell, no hoodie, and never look back.
I wish, but I don't think it happened that way.

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but here's the latest on BD & CD:

Brad Dennis with the Klaaskids Foundation says arrangements are being made for Clint and Billie Dunn to go to Dallas next Sunday.

http://bigcountryhomepage.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=344406

Dennis says The Dunns would present Hailey's case at rally for missing children.

Will any of our locals be attending?

I think it's VERY strange that the media didn't give this more attention. Usually, you'd see video of the people searching, along with with team members at the command center, and the parent(s), relatives of the missing. Nothing like that here. ?????

So who is avoiding who and why? BD avoiding the press or the press avoiding BD? I'm betting on option 1. She doesn't want anymore "hard" questions or knows she has not handled that aspect of the Premo Plan too well. Too much of a chance of slipping up....again. Maybe LE got what they wanted as far as info from BD & SA, but a child is missing. That in itself should be kept at the forefront. imo

Why do I have the feeling that BD only agreed to this "while they were in town", and now that they aren't something will come up and she won't go? :waitasec:
