This may have already been answered, but I didn't see it when I read the thread, what time is the presser?

TIA!!

I really hope we hear some NEW stuff....but I have my doubts.

I think they'll confirm stuff we already know by "reliable sources"...flier, person in the truck, possibly "bat phone" confirmation, DS time away from "work".......

I don't know? Maybe? But I can't imagine they will be talking about specifics of what they have so they don't impede the case. An arrest is coming but not yet. Still getting it all together.....IMO of course! ;)

According to this report from last night, the sheriff spent several hours at the DA's office.

So, either these guys were very carefully working on the words used in the presser or they were forming arrest warrants.

If my link doesn't work, beanE has the link in her daily news thread for Kyron.

When the last flier came out, didn't the presser at that time merely reiterate the flier and that was about it?

I voted talk about the flier.

The presser about the flyer was the one in which they confirmed that Terri was the last known person to be with Kyron and the last person to see Kyron, so it did have some very significant information.

ETA I voted talk about flyer, too, though. I don't think there's going to be some big shocker, but I hope I'm wrong.

REMINDER:

Please open a new thread when the presser starts.

Thanks so much! :grouphug:

I am sure the school district would LOOOOVE to do that as well, but right now they are looking at a $19M budget shortfall and have laid off a bunch of teachers. Where do you suggest they get the funding for this? The average age of PPS schools is 60+ years. If we were a suburb with lots of new schools, it would be no problem. But we are a city with the vast majority of schools built in the first half of the last century and most classrooms don't even have telephones that reach outside the school.

Our PTSA raised the money for the cameras at my children's elementary school. We had car washes, bake sales, pay to play softball games, raffles, theme parties, and so on... IIRC, it didn;t cost all that much, and it's a great investment, IMO...

Thanks BeanE. I searched everywhere for the start time of the last presser. However, today I'm not going to bother even trying to watch - it's much less frustrating to simply check in later and find out nothing new happened. That way I can spend an hour doing something constructive.

Kyron, still praying you come home soon, little one...

Hey guys :)

I am swamped today and dug around a little, but could find the info I need in a hurry.

Would someone please fill me in what time in my area (CDT) this presser is scheduled to begin? I really don't want to miss it and am trying to squeeze in my lunch hour accordingly. ;)

Also, a link to any good site that may stream it would be appreciated. I have access to cable TV, too....wasn't sure if truTV or HLN might be carrying it live.

Thanks so much in advance for any help!!

Beach I am in CST also and for us I think it is one pm. the presser as I understand it is 11 Portland time...hope I am correct on this.

  • #95
Oh good gracious! I really did dig around before I posted my question, but posted before I got to this page. :blushing: Sorry for the interruption!

I guess the best thing to do in check back right before the presser begins to get a good link that will stream it live.

Thanks Boo Scout, Nana and BeanE! :blowkiss:

I hope HLN or InSession carries the presser because it's easier than watching the livestream from one of the Portland news venues.

I can't even speculate on this presser. I really believed the last one was going to really shed some light on something, and then it was a huge disappointment. I still feel like LE expected to release information at the last one that at the last minute they didn't for some reason. So for this one, I'm trying very, very hard just to wait.

  • #98
Is there anywhere online that is going to stream it live from Portland?
I'm going to try HLN too, but would feel better if I could get the whole thing locally.

  • #99
With GJ still going on I don't see how they could announce anything late breaking...surely until the GJ gets done they won't tell us much.IMO
